Yes. You can keep everything in place but remove screws from the trim.....then basically reach in behind the quarter panel trim and just disconnect it.

They are not worth much sadly as ive got a 2013 Lounge with 86k on the clock service history in a rare Yellow the same as the Abarth version and i can only get £2 grand for mine and it has had new Exhaust , New Gearbox and Clutch , a full service and new handbrake cable and soon to have new front shocks and discs and pads , ive put in £1500 over the 1 year ive owned it and ive had enough now as there is a saying all that glitters is not Gold! These cars look beautiful but underneath they are mutton , Next car i will buy will be my old car i had a few years back a 2007 Mitsubishi Colt 1.1 timing chain engine so nothing to go wrong and they can take abuse as Japanese and good thing is most Colts are under a grand and will go a damn lot faster than the 1.2 500 i have

@ I think the yellow is a bit of an acquired taste if I’m honest. I hope you sell your car for good money and buy what you want.👍🏻. I think once the 500’s hit above 70-80k miles the value does drop a bit.

@jt500_salvage Yeah the Bumble Bee 🐝 500s are not as easy to sell but Car Wow guaranteed me 2 grand reserve in their auction , so will probably sell it there , I will only buy Japanese cars in future as I've lost too much money now 😔

@@jt500_salvage I sold a 115k mile be to my neighbour for £2500. Plenty of money in them. Depends where you live and the local demand.

Never use WBAC , Car Wow are way better they will get him a guaranteed £2 grand and put it in Auction that way no haggling and its sold to a proper trusted dealer not a cowboy from WBAC

Yep mines a 2013 Lounge and i noticed everything is needing to be replaced and its only done 86k i have in the last year had to replace gearbox and clutch and handbrake cable and exhaust and now have to fit new front shocks and discs and pads , Engine on my one is the strong point thankfully not had this problem and it pulls like a train , only concerning thing is exhaust smells very bad? so thinking maybe the cat converter is blocked but yeah will just get rid , Car Wow auction guaranteed me £2 grand after i argued with them so thats where i will sell it.

What model do you have? I find the Sport quite harsh as not much rubber between alloy and road.

@@carsalvage101 steel wheels are best because they are stronger and there is more rubber on the side walls so a pop would have a softer ride

That is a long way from home. Can you live with the paint defects or will you get them sorted?

I think I might get them sorted in spring. I removed the rear handle and light assembly, underneath it I found the paint had cracked and was flaking right in line with the edge of the handle also at the outer edge of the handle. So I have temporary touched the paint up with zinc paint, blue touch up (mines Electronica Blue). I cleaned up the edge of the handle, sprayed it with waxyol and put back. So that should be ok till spring. It looks like the paint has not adhered properly to the galvanised metal. Given it’s over 10 years old we can’t expect too much.

Have you tried it with someone's else's phone to see if the same problem happens?? I've read that sometimes certain phones can cause issues with thr USB.

Yeh, it appears that way now, and a rear cam aswell given the wiring. I just have to work out if I install one.
