why is it specifically for muzzleloader? im thinking about putting this on a Ruger 77/357 with NECG rear peep sight. do you see any reason that would not work?

@tonyturner487 they are very difficult to remove and they are difficult to line back up. If you feel up to it and have a breech plug wrench, go for it. The best way to learn is first hand.

The Treso nipples I have used have a very nice fit with a RWS #11 cap, in fact it has been a bit on the too snug side. Also, I take a #68 drill and open up the flash hole from 0.028" to 0.031".

P.S my long rifle is a green mountain barrel 40 cal. And the dia. Is .410 and my barrel length is 42 inch long. With a twist rate of 1 in 36 I hope and pray it will shoot long paper patch boolits. I'm only wanting to shoot at the maximum of 200 yards or a little more and I hope it will stabilize my boolits. Please let me know what you think about my barrel twist it is the only barrel at the time I could find in 40 cal. With that twist rate all the others were 1in48 twist rate . and I have a Pennsylvania Lancaster long rifle I built my self and it has pedasoli back sight and Lyman aperture front sight with a level bubble and like 10 or more apertures for it. I have spent a lot of money and time building this rifle and if it doesn't shoot real good I guess it will be a expensive wall hanger.

I would look at bullets in the 300 grain range. 400 will be too long. If you have a Lyman 17 style glove sight, use the Lee Shavers BPCR inserts. They are awesome

@scottbrightman3662 I installed the Lyman 17aml globe sights on several rifles. I use Lee Shavers BPCR inserts. You might need to shim the front of the Lyman 57sml peep to get it to travel vertically a bit better. On some tangs, they tend to lean forward a bit. Sighting in is pretty straightforward. Start at 50 yards and shoot.

I don't understand how turning the head around gives you 5 speeds backwards... if you just turn the head around, so it's aimed towards the propeller that does not change forward or back in the switch... you still have 5 forward and 3 reverse... even if you just turn the whole unit around so the propellor is in the front and you run it in reverse to go forward, you still only have 3 reverse speeds to move you forward so doesn't really change anything.
@idahoron
@idahoron Жыл бұрын
When you turn the head 180 degrees now the motor is set up to pull backward with the tiller at your back. By switching it now you have 5 speeds dragging the boat backwards.

I’m looking to replace my valves on my classic accessories pontoons as they broke this winter. I noticed your valve you showed had a yellow cap for the spring, is that the one built from the factory or an Amazon valve look alike? Classic accessories sells the valves for $25 and Amazon has similar valves for less but unsure which one works as they just are universal. Thanks!

@idahoron
@idahoron Жыл бұрын
Most have 5 forward speeds and reverse. If you take the bolt out of the head and rotate 180 degrees, the tiller will be right behind you, pointing at your back. Now, it is set up to troll backward. You will have more flexibility with speed control. You will be able to fish hands-free by steering with your fins.

My other complaint, FWC does not answer their phone, so beware if you need help from FWC. I called ATC campers and they not only answer, they have parts, so screw FWC, they suck for taking care of customers.
