I am so grateful for this. I accidentally broke a clock of my mother’s that is very similar looking to this one. The clock isn’t anything fancy, but she’s had it longer than she’s had me. The sad look on her face was enough to motivate me to try to have it repaired. Rather than be laughed out of a grandfather clock repair store or risk further damaging the clock. Your video was the perfect remedy. The clock is now back on the wall, with a new movement piece and the original hands. Thank you so much. ❤️🙏🏻

If I Want To Charge My Phone Or Tablet I Just Use My Ryobi Usb Adapter. If I Want 18 Volts I'll Just Get Me One Of Those Power Wheels Adapters That Fit Over The Ryobi Battery I Found Out Dewalt Makes Power Wheels Adapters To Use To Make A Power Suply Now All The Powertool Companys Make Usb & Power Wheels Adapters To Convert Powertool Batterys Into Power Suplys. I Even Have A Ryobi 120 Volt Power Suply For Power Outages. It Even Comes In Handy When ICant Find An Outlet For One Of My AA Chargers Or One Of My Powertool Battery Chargers. That Beats Going Through All That Rigamaroe.

I was hoping someone would have done this already! Couple of questions: Have you tried putting threaded heat set inserts into the holes and are there any issues with tolerance of position? Secondly, countersinking the lid holes - would this just be a matter of using cones/tapered cylinders rather than straight cylinders? Thanks!

Animals. Animals have essentially from the dawn of man been used as a alternative form of energy. Weather it be plowing a field for planting or using carrier pigeons to relay messages. Animals have been used in this way as well. Of course we take care of those animals and we dont abuse them, so its not like they can be Turned Into a battery but they can be used just like a spring, as a alternative source of energy. Just wanted to put that out there, since this is probably something most wouldn't think of considering as a alternative power source....

What if I took the proper gage extension cord and just replaced the cord in the device with this? I mean open the device and remove the original one and put the extension cord on my cutting the end, soldering it to the proper spots .. 🤔

It would be nice to have adapters with a step down for really battery hungry tools around the home base, like big saws (band, table, chop, etc) and belt sanders

How can I install pysimplegui on raspberry pi 4. I am not able to install it
@DJ-in1tt2 ай бұрын
4:18 Alright, not complicated, I know. I’ve gone through this several times over the last 6 months. Reassembly is not at issue. What IS, is the quality of these cheap garbage clockworks boxes. Oh, “High-Torque Quartz Crystal Movement”, you say? My rear end they are. Not one of the FOUR that I have purchased from 3 different Amazon “companies” at anywhere between $9 and $26 lasted more than a week!!! It’s all cheap Chinese crap!

Very clear instructions to follow. Clear video. Really helped me get to understand what I was getting into. Thank you!! I am just learning to replace the quartz movement and the hands of 2 different cheap clocks. So good to see them functioning again. My father gave me several big wall clocks I would love to get working again. Practice!!

What did you actually show us? I don't understand the purpose of this video. You kind of missed the most crucial part: Installing PySimpleGUI on raspberry pi. Like, as far as I can find it is not possible to do. So how did you do it and why didn't you think to add that into a DIY video??

I'm checking this out because I have a Kobalt string trimmer as well as a mini tiller that both have failed batteries. I would still like to use them with new batteries if I ever buy them (they're not cheap). As much as I'm not thrilled about adding a cord to either of these tools, it'll do fine for my needs. I was thinking about cannibalizing the batteries to make dumbie-plugs. So I'm pooling resources from YT vids to see what others are doing.

I just found this in my feed, probably because i sub to a ton of tinkering channels lol. Anyway, I am obsessed with repurposing electronics like this so am glad to find another tinker dude. I appreciate the amount of time and effort to make these videos and notice its a few years old so my input may be completely obsolete but... I think most viewers do not like the music bed in videos like this. We want to focus on the words and actions. Secondly and more importantly we viewers need to see the circuit board when the maker is soldering or altering it at all. I understand that its a pain to make up a schematic (but we appreciate it when someone does!) but if there is at the very least a close up shot that we can pause on to make notes it is helpful. I am experienced with electrical engineering so understood what you did but most of us are average folks who are using these to learn the ropes because they too want to tinker and need to actually see the work, at least after its soldered. Once again, thank you for the video and it was very enjoyable!

Thanks for the explanations. Over the past several years I used four 50 ft #12 extension cords plugged into a 15 amp outlet about 50 feet from the breaker panel to power a Skilsaw. The use was not always intermittent. The saw seemed to be somewhat underpowered but never got too hot, still did the job, and seems just as good today. Maybe Skil made those old saws tough enough to survive significant voltage drop. I recently made a #8 250 foot "extension cord" (plugged into a recepticle near the breaker panel protected by a 15 amp breaker). The saw is noticably more powerful.
