BTW the signal crayfish are one of the bigger ones. The big ones like to be in deeper pools. I used to catch thousands for with traps and by hand for outdoor festivals and such. You need to hook a small rope to your trap.

Very cool. I always like seeing the whole "only natural materials" approach, always interesting even if I will never use it myself. Would have liked to see what you did with the inside of the hut or if you just slept on the ground. Other than that, I enjoyed it.

Great video, Tom -- loved the detailed explanations of all the tasks necessary for a 6-day survival experience. Its definitely one to watch a few more times. I'm curious about the open fire in your shelter. Is an opening in the top sufficient to keep smoke out?
@wildsurvivalskills2 күн бұрын
yeah, this one was fine, other shelters Ive had have started smokey and its a constant battle to figure out how to get the draw correct.

What kind of blade is that? Almost looks like a blocky Kukri. I love it. It looks much safer than a hatchet. I like my hatchet, but I’m always hyper-aware of the risk of accidentally hurting myself with it. Sometimes, I avoid using it altogether, maybe out of irrational fear, but I just never feel fully at ease with it.
