Great video, I've just bought an M50 mark II for street photography instead of my 80D. I've just subscribed to your channel as you do a lot of work with the m50 II, this is my first mirrorless camera and I've watched other KZbinrs using the M50 for street photography have you done a video on how you set up your camera for street photography? The reason I ask is some touch the screen and focus, how are you focusing, please?
@DavidLudlowPhotography11 күн бұрын
Hi Andrew, thanks so much for watching and subscribing. If I’m using an autofocus lens I have a small focus point set in the middle and then touch the screen to move it to an appropriate place for the composition. I should do a video about my set up, however I have created a short in the past to show how I can quickly change from one shot AF TO servo mode. Here’s the link if that helps kzbin.infoC27n_RUJ6P4?si=R8xvOdO-1uJKRjVm. Stay in touch and let me know how you get on with the camera. Kind regards David 📷👍

Hi David, can you tell me if there is any significant change between M50 and the mark II, please?
@DavidLudlowPhotography11 күн бұрын
@ hi Andrew, my view is that there is very little difference between the two. The mark ii has slightly improved autofocus and a few other very slight differences. I did a one to one session with someone that had the M50 and it performed as well as my mark ii. David

A very nice day in London on the 11th November 2024 walking from Aldgate to Petticoat Lane. The 22mm EF-M prime lens is a great combination with the Canon M50 mark ii camera. I find it an ideal size and very discreet for street photography. For more with this lens please see the 22mm playlist: kzbin.info/aero/PL3H9INU8GfVPuJL3aQY729L7Q5BBweDZ4&si=POmbZ99bFO88rZ6i

pictures looked quite blurry when zoomed in. I never used any of those Canon lenses for the M system (except the 15-45 kit), and seeing the blur, probably for a good reason ;). I'd rather snap EF-S glass, though it's quite heftier

It was nice to go somewhere different for some street photography, although I was not really inspired by the place, but you have to do what you can. The 55-200mm lens is a great lens, however, there were many occasions I wanted to be wider. @@DavidLudlowPhotography thanks David. Great to at last get the 1k subs. I did a review of a jacket about 8 months ago. It’s done well and has over 22k views. That has been a great help. I’ve a couple of jackets and my new walking shoes I want to review. Problem is I’ve had so much on I’ve not had the time to get out there. Hopefully get a video out in the next couple of weeks. Hope you’re well mate 👍

Yes I’m well thanks. 22k views is a great achievement. My highest on my photography channel is only 15k. I’m going back to do some more on my IT channel. But it’s like starting again to get watch time and views up, I should have never let it fall behind especially as it’s monetised, but is keeping me busy. 😃

This is David from California. Quick note that I continue to love your videos using the M50. At this time, I cannot find this Neewer lens for sale anywhere, but it looks like the Artisans line of lenes are similar in performance. I like that you continue to take some B/W. With fall weather right around the corner, I will have to shoot more in color to catch the seasonal changes in nearby Yosemite and the Sierras. Your street photos remind me of what San Francisco use to be like, but sadly the last few years has made it too dangerous to visit. Keep up the excellent work.
@DavidLudlowPhotographyАй бұрын
Hi David thanks so much for watching and commenting. Yes I believe both makes are much the same in performance. I agree that fall (autumn in the uk) colours must be seen in the photo, it’s just a beautiful time of year for colour. It’s a shame that it’s become a dangerous place to visit. Thanks again and kind regards David 📷👍

@@DavidLudlowPhotographyBtw I have my m50 with the kit lens, and i plan to buy more lens for selling photos in shutterstock. Do you have recommendation?
@DavidLudlowPhotographyАй бұрын
I personally like the canon 22mm and 32mm prime lenses. However if you want prime lenses and a good range the Sigma ef-m trio are absolutely excellent 16, 30 and 56. They all open wide. However if you just want one all round lens I find the Canon ef-m 18-150 a good go to lens giving a bit more range than the kit lens but perhaps not as sharp as the Sigma trio. Regards David
