Hola ¿Qué objetivos EF-M de mayor alcance (aproximadamente 300 mm) me recomendarías para una Canon m50 mark ii?

To be honest the longest range I’ve used on the Canon M50 mark ii is the Sigma EF-S 18-250mm with the Viltrox adapter. The 250mm is a full frame equivalent of 400mm. I find this ok although a bit on the heavy side. Regards David 📷👍

I enjoyed your video. I been wanting to ask you, and I keep forgetting to ask, how do you keep your lenses and even cameras from acquiring mold and fungus? I know that humidity will do that to lenses pretty quickly and you live in England, where all you have is rain and humidity. But you've never mentioned it, to my knowledge. Anyway, I'm just curious because a friend of mine lives on the West Coast (USA) and he's a photographer. He has "dry" closets where he puts all his cameras and lenses and it extracts the humidity and keeps it at a certain level, not harmful to his equipment, year-round.

Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed my video. My cameras and lenses are stored on a shelf in a normal cupboard. We have two dehumidifiers in our house one upstairs on the first floor and one downstairs on the ground floor. These collect the water in the air so we can tip it away at the end of each day. I have no issues with my cameras or lenses. Kind regards David 😀📷👍

@DavidLudlowPhotography
@DavidLudlowPhotography 11 күн бұрын
Personally I would still prefer the cheap 50mm purely for the fun factor. 50mm on a crop sensor is the equivalent of a 80mm on a full frame, whereas a 50mm with a speed booster is the equivalent of a 35mm on a full frame. Kind regards David

Had a nice walk to evaluate the two manual focus lenses, Neewer 25mm and the Meike 50mm. Obviously they are not as sharp as more expensive lenses and I was not really happy with the location, however, sometimes you have to make do with what you have locally. On this occasion it was more about the lenses than the compositions. To see more with these lenses follow the playlist links. Hi, I have this lens and I'm having one problem, I put an extention ring from 49mm to 52mm so I can use ND filter and it works great it hold no problem, but when I want to use LensHood and then add filter even when I screw it up tidily and it holds ok but only until I bump lens hood or turn lenshood a little bit it pops filter out, is this common problem with this lens/lenshood or is it on every other canon lens that you can securely use either lenshood or filter... because I don't know how to solve this problem

Hello David, now I have a tip for you: I have bought a Tamron 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 Di III VC silver (Canon EF-M) for 238 Euro. A great lens for travel photography, I think. I saw it in a Christopher Frost video (a complete guide to Canon EF-M camera lenses). This focal length seems very good for the purpose [all in one] - so you can easily take a second lens with you - perhaps an 11-22 or a prime lens like the 16mm Sigma...

Technical tests tend to put the Canon ahead on centre and edge sharpness but slower on auto focus. However, it’s now about £500 with no hood. I have had issues with Sigma ‘pro’ lens grips turning all sticky after a few years. Not had any such issues with my Canon L lenses, even ones from the early 1990s. In the long term the Canon may be the better investment if people can find the cash. It also keeps its value more. Second hand ones, in good condition, are typically £400 to £450. Says a lot on its desirability and longevity. At least Sigma still make lenses in Japan.

I think I will go back to what I feel comfortable with. Regards David 📷👍

Dear David, yes, on my first tour using my secondhand 16mm it was a great pleasure. Astonishing results. Now I'm wating for the 56 mm. I'm still thinking about whether I should actually get the 30mm because I already have the 32mm from Canon. It's interesting to see English cities and landscapes in your videos. Unfortunately, we have never been to England, but we would like to do so when we retire - in about 4 years. It seems to me that Cornwall is a particularly interesting landscape (many TV series are set there, such as Doc Matin). But what I love most is "The Doctor and the Dear Cat" - because of the humor and the warm human side. And in London we would like to see the houseboat scene. Chrisoph
