I thought it was fine to watch when we had the ball and were passing it around. I know it is their "style" and works for them but I would hate to turn up every week to watch hoofball. The ball spends less time in the air at wimbledon during the tennis.!

According to their manager they dominated the game. I didn't see that in person yesterday and I don't see it on the highlights. They dominated the last 15 minutes when we dropped too deep and that was all. We kept them to one shot on target ( fabulous save max ). So tight at the top ( except for walsall ) that a couple more good results over xmas would probably see us top 3. Fleetwood and Bradford awy are tricky but winnable. MK dons result (a) flattered them after the sending off and if Newport can put 6 past them we can beat them. No more injuries please! #COYB

A player full of hard running, always puts in a shift. Much prefer him on the right wing, Markanday inside right. ✅

Doesn’t always have to be pretty. That’s the gameplay of great players when you see it out, keep a clean sheet and win our 3rd game in a row in the league. Hope Coco is ok.

great 3 points today. I didn't realise Wimbledon were such a hoofball team. if we could pick up 7 points from the next 3 games it would see us solidly in the upper playoffs. #COYB

Totally disjointed edit. Carlisle were very poor as reflects their place in the league. Spirites deserved their victory.

A tough game on the road, which just goes to show you don’t get easy games in this league. So proud of how the lads battled throughout the match to bring the 3 points back. COYB 💙

Dunno who edited these highlights but you’d think Carlisle had 90% of the possession…not so, looked a pretty even game stats wise but highlights don’t reflect this…COYB

Thought carlisles passing was the worst I’ve seen all season, long balls to players who weren’t there, drifting out of play.

Carlisle created more chances than I thought they would but their finishing all game was about the worst I have seen all year. Deserved 3 points. If we can go on a run between now and the new year all bets are back on. #coyb

Agree it wasn’t a golden performance. They were so poor. I hope they stay up though. We need something in the Jan window.

I think I watched a completely different match to DW. Yes we won but not for trying to give the game away against the poorest (or should I say the team with the lowest confidence) in the league at present. At times it was like watching schoolboy football: time and time again possession was lost by both teams, scraps on the ground to try to recover the ball under bodies, like rugby. Not pretty at all. They had enough clear cut chances in the 2nd half to get at least a point. Fortunately we’ve had two games against bottom teams (Tranmere also in a crisis of confidence which tended to exaggerate our easy victory). We’re so vulnerable defensively with virtually every attack. The back line just cannot cope with playing too high. Something has to give tactically against better teams if we’re to justify and maintain our place in the upper half. On the positive side Dobra offered a consistent and positive spark throughout the game, willing to drive at them and Grigg ultimately benefitted from his endeavour. Lots of injuries yes, but other clubs are in the same boat. The Carlisle commentators were dead right in saying we were no great shakes based on this performance. Let’s not delude ourselves. No doubt the long trip back will be satisfying but there’s still so much to do. More question marks than answers imho Btw I feel for the Carlisle fans. Relegation and now rock bottom in L2. Still 6k show their support in hard times. Top supporters and I hope they turn things around
@joshcantrill28228 күн бұрын
What do you mean other teams are in the same boat injury-wise? Who else has 10-12 injuries to their squad (I’ve lost count)? Ridiculously over-critical comment for 2-0 away team with a tonne of injuries.
