I think if you find schematic of the battery you can looks whats the 12 v and ground and interlock. and the ignition signal, may you can get it started. that s what i would like to do if I would use battery like this. and may the Can singals for diagnose too. but its not easy for that

Yes, now days it’s much more easy to do it. All the information is out on Dalas battery emulator sight. So now it’s at least worth trying😅

Hi, thank you for your great info and informative hands-on video's, i love to watch them all.. :) You changed to Solax inverters. Now, i was planning 48V setup with prismatic and Victron, mainly due their great trackracord and DESS setup, lots of info to find, and endless possibilities. Can you tell me if this is also possible with your Solax setup (which i intend to "copy".) I would like to earn money on unbalance market, by buying and selling power at low/high prices. Not epex, but 15min. market. (at the end, Epex naturally also). Are you happy with Solax, or are there better options? Is there a forum where you and/or Dala participate? Thanks! And keep up the good work! (PS: Give your wife a big hug named after all of us, as we know its hard for her to handle with these tech guys that haul batteries an cables through the house... :) . Its also due to her that we can enjoy your shared hobby :) We appreciate it! )

Hi and thank you! I am just one of dalas patreons. I can highly recommend Solax. I have tried 48 V systems earlier but man they are so inefficient… especially if you’re going to buy and sell energy. But of course much safer. I will do that thank you so much for the comment and the good luck with your project👍🏻☺️

This is really great, you brought me on a great idea and i just bought a EV battery. Only question though; you use solax solar inverters. Is it possible of do you have knowledge of using this CAN signal with Victron equipment? I was originally looking at a 48V system with a Multiplus-II inverter, and use the DESS system of them. These Multiplus'however is available in 12v 24v or 48v, so i will need to go to their solar inverters when using a HV battery. Any info on this, as i cannot seem to find it on the github as well. Thank you very much. Love your video's by the way. (Where do you source these HV battery gem's? :) :)

@edwardvanhazendonk12 күн бұрын
Hi nice explanation! One remark, your RS-485 is instable, do both lilogo's come with resistora (120 Ohm) If I'm correct, if not, try to install 2 120 Ohm resistors on both ends on the cable. If they are not terminated you might get issues with RS-485. This might also be the case with CAN, but you have to check that one. Keep up the good work, wishing you lot's of sun and high yield on your selling power!
@flyingtools12 күн бұрын

@heinzruffieux581712 күн бұрын
@@ianlighting100 Yes, I understood that one, but one LilyGo can be connected to the CAN Bus AND to the Inverter (RS485), hence the two ports. 2 LiliGo's you only need with two batteries. I understood, that he connects one to the battery and one to the inverter. That would not work. But watching again, he explains it after 12:00. Such setup I have never seen before. Probably Solax specific as he says.

That's awesome. I've been using a 516 volt battery Jerry ranked too an old discontinued Tesla inverter.
@HermanWillems13 күн бұрын
My advice regarding your SoC% and "voltage". There are algorithms out there for calculating and estimating a better SoC%. You might also add "current counting" which you then recalibrate if the current is "stabilized" at zero amps. So that the voltage on the battery is relaxed. Then look at the voltage curve for SoC%. Adding this simple current counting will improve the stability of the SOC% reading under charging and discharging. This is still not perfect, but is low hanging fruit. Let's say it like that. (Other better methods are extremely complicated)
@flyingtools13 күн бұрын
Yes, that has been on my mind but still it has been working pretty good. But now when it is possible to have the true state of charge out from the battery that’s the number one solution of course. I might try to install the Volkswagen BMS system later on together with the battery emulator from Dala. Thanks for your advice and comment.

Lifepo4 is a so much nicer type of battery then Lipo. They don't care to be left on 100% of charge and you can use them from 0-100% all day long. And they wont run away thermaly and burn down your house like the Lipos do. I hope we get more EVs with Lifepo in Sweden. I will never have a Lipo car or big Lipo battery near my house.
