Not necessary at all, go down to the hardware store and grab some 400 and 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, take the bolt out of the gun, spray each grit of sandpaper with something like WD-40 spend 2 minutes with the 400 grit and 2 minutes with the 600 grit, clean the bolt, put it back in the gun and you'll be all set.

built the 150 rig. I would make 1 change turn 2 17" lengths to 20" for under the seat, for 5 bucks it is way more stable if you are 200+ lbs. if you don't have a seat this isn't cheaper than a 300ish rig but customization is amazing, more solid than I had thought. the cammus C5 is getting held well, 0 flex. So I may end up going for standard 20" BMX with a 21" top tube instead - probably either the Sunday Soundwave Special or WTP Revolver.

The charging over USB C only works if the port on your mobo has Power Delivery. For USB A, your mobo needs to be able to supply at least 2 amps, it's not a cable issue because not all mobos are capable of supplying 2A through the USB A port. There are some link cables that have a second USB cable to supply power and keep your headset charging.

@GregoryShtevensh
@GregoryShtevensh 23 күн бұрын
@@DouglasThompson at 10nm or 13nm? How can software possibly know what is being felt though? Tbh I wish there was a more scientific and standardized way of testing this. A torque wrench with the QR attached for example. Yoi seemed to overpower it with ease, and said it felt a bit stronger than the csl dd but just a bit. But its also channels like Boosted, who did say the mini feels somewhere between the csl dd and a 12nm base (may have been the cs dd or moza R12) which im pretty sure was the Moza R12. Now others have said the mini felt just as strong as the R12 also. But the R12 probably holds around 9nm so that makes some sense. It doesn't really prove the mini gives feedback above 10nm though. I think the software in question was iracing. In which case setting it auto set to 13nm or something. This is more a reflection of iracing than the power of the mini motor though. Let me ask you. You have used the cammus, so when capped at 13. Did you find it comparable to the mini in power? The thing is its kinda hard to notice 2nm of difference when you're talking double digits. Its less than a G29 on top. Am I completely off track here?

Things to consider: 1. Purpose? For home defense I like an external safety on a firearm and the first shot is a second safety. The Glock is simple and depending on one's training if they actually have training a Glock may be a better choice for a duty weapon. The benefit of the Glock is it's easy to shoot! The disadvantage is it's easy to shoot! One is much more likely to have a negligent discharge with the Glock.

Didn't realize that you're a hobby luthier. I stumbled over your channel because of sim racing, which is quite a coincidence, since I'm a professional luthier who just started with sim racing, not that long ago 😁There is always room for improvement and "secrets of the trait" which are just hard to learn for someone who builds guitars in a DIY setting. That said, I think you did a phenomenal (and very creative!) job with the tools and possibilities you have at hand. I could give you a ton of constructive criticism, but I think that with time, practice and experience, you eventually will get there by yourself if you continue building guitars. If I would have to give you just one piece of advice, it would be that you can go way lighter on the top bracing. It would open up the sound even more. The braces on the top can be as light as, or even lighter than the ones you have on the bottom. Brace height about 6mm under the bridge and continuously fading out to almost zero at the brace ends, to give the soundboard this membrane effect. The braces which are nearer to the sides can also be thinner (for example 7mm for the center brace, 6mm for the ones next to it and 5mm for the two next to the sides). This guitar has a relatively small soundboard surface area and very thick sides (compared to traditional classic guitars), which makes it a very stiff construction by itself. Every bit of weight you can remove will be beneficial to the sound. My ball park (starting point) in your specific case for the top thickness would be around 2.5mm, depending on the quality of spruce (or pine) I have available (a bit thicker, maybe 2.8mm for cedar or mahogany for example) and tune from there, but it's perfectly fine if you stick to a uniform thickness until you have a bit more experience!
@DouglasThompson
@DouglasThompson 29 күн бұрын
@mementomori4972 thank you so much! I will try your bracing suggestion!!! I've been building guitars for a bit over a month or so and I'm learning a lot just from mistakes. I'm sure you can tell I'm not following any guides so suggestions like that are very helpful.
