You need to do some corrosion control performed on that gas line. The rust is going to damage the gas line.

Nice! My grill is coming in two days. My BBQ is hooked up to natural gas, don’t want to swap them out. If anything, I would use LP for the BS and convert at a later date if i make that swap, but it seems like it’s best to do the conversion as you’re putting the BS together. Decisions, decisions. 😅

What orifice do you use for the 28”?? Model 2287
@smcordyАй бұрын
The Omnivore griddle top uses a newer kit 5395 with 1.55mm orifices. The older legacy griddle top uses the older kit 5249 with 2.0mm orifices. This is not a well known fact and many of the older kits are out there being sold and put into new Omnivore versions.

This is more work than anticipated. I was hoping when removing the knobs, i would be able to to remove the orfices from the front instead of taking that heavy top off. Thanks for the video

Great job. Very informative. The absolute BEST thing I learned from this video is that when I buy my Blackstone (within a month or so) I will use the two most popular items in my toolbox to assemble and convert to natural gas. Those two items are a credit card and a phone. Thank you for sharing!

I wish I would have seen this sooner, might have saved me a few hours of frustration. I can’t thank you enough. FYI for others, my pin wasn’t stuck but taking it apart and reassembling it seemed to do the trick.

Hello! Northeast Pennsylvania here! We switched from Coal to Oil a few years back and I have quite a few buckets of leftover pea coal. It dawned on me I can use it somehow in my landscaping. Yours is the only video I foundusing Coal in landscaping. I also have a few big pieces that I have already put around in my garden. But the small stuff I’m going to use for drainage at the bottom of my downspout and scatter it around in place of mulch in my garden. Thank you for your video!

Thanks! I wanted to be different from my neighbors and that’s how I came up with the idea. Plus, my grandparents were In the coal business in Shamokin way back! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Hopefully more people will start using coal for landscaping purposes.

This may sound like a stupid question, but why must you change the burners? Does natural gas burn hotter than propane? I thought maybe you would just have to change the connection, and the hose… ?
@jcbecker28002 ай бұрын
you have to change the orifices. LP has a higher pressure than natural gas, so the orifices have to have a larger hole in them. LP gas does have a higher BTU rating as well.

Thank you so much! I didn't even take it apart. After watching this I just sprayed it with WD-40 then tapped it with a hammer and whala making pressure! Thank you!

So I’m using a .75 fitting as described and what if you can’t get a conversion burner back in? I’m able to get the original back in and it’s the igniter burner that is giving me difficulty. Will this be an issue?

You glued wristband to tracker. What you gonna do when this silicon band will tear off? Buy a new Tracker?
@karldavis73925 ай бұрын
You don't really need the kit. Just get a natural gas hose and grill the nozzles out bigger. I used 1/16" but probably 3/64" or 1 mm probably would have been big enough. It saves money and only takes a few minutes.

Don’t forget gas specific plumbers tape to seal the threads. Also consider a lithium battery to prevent corrosion. Great vid.

Maybe you can help. I have a 3300 psi dewalt pressure washer (hose connects under neath the back side, not the style you have) how do you adjust these unloader valves? I’m trying to run a ball valve setup and it’s not drawing pressure on my valve setup. But if I kink the line it will build pressure. So I’m assuming I need to adjust the unloader but I’m not quite sure how, most commercial washers have a black handle that you adjust with but this one doesn’t. Maybe you can help?
