I bought one at Sam's club brought it home tried it out and it had a bad static noise just with no music. Thought it could be the cords. Went to Guitar center bought new cords, same thing. Took it back to Sam's and exchanged it for another. Tried the new one, same thing. Sent it back to the company. They tried to say it was the receptacle or cord. I told them I had an earlier model called ION Total Pa Pro 400 watts which I used same receptacle and cords which had no problem at all. I received the new speaker, ION Total Pa Max 500 watt used it 2 times and it started the same static noise. I am returning all of the Total Pa Max speakers. I don't like the noise. Nothing like the Total Pa Pro 400 watts. I would not purchase the Total Pa Max even if it was $50.00!

Dont try using the RCA inputs. I fried my 60" tv, mixer, and sound in my laptop. Took it back got another one. Plugged RCA in and they bit me. Decided to use bluetooth only.

I just bought mine from Costco. Super heavy! Sounded great and it does what I wanted it for like Karaoke thru my laptop via bluetooth. You can pretty much have any song you want. The only thing I hate about this is it doesn't have battery and it is heavy.

Andre Ross This may be a dumb question, but is your bass knob in the back turned down? Like i said these don’t put out a lot of low end bass but just for simple house parties they do the job. Otherwise i’d say you may have a blown speaker or some other hardware issue.

I just bought one used at a pawn shop, it sounds fairly loud with some decent bass. It does appear that the 15' woofer has been changed out due to not having any of the lights visible. Don't really care for the lights anyway, kind of cheesy lol. for more base, I plan to incorporate a pair of 18' subs and only keep the bass knob at half way to only cover the mids and highs with it. If not, also use it as a floor wedge monitor which is only for vocals, guitars or keyboards. This is way cheaper that what a high end monitor would cost. For @Andre Ross, the problem may be where the speakers are in storage, like all electronic devices, humidity, salt in the air etc. can cause problems. One way to check the speaker is by removing the grill and slightly moving the speaker in and out, if you hear a grinding noise, the the voice coil is burnt and is overlapping. You can also test this with a multimeter. speakers are usual built at 2, 4 or 8 ohms. If its bad, you can replace the speaker with the same specifications. Another thing is the audio input levels, junk in is junk out. if the volume on the source device is way up, than the speaker will sound distorted even if the volume is turned down. Keep your source device at minimum half way, if not try using a small mixer to regulate the source level inputs. Hope this helps.

Yes there is a difference the one he got does not have a wireless link button and the one you bought does have a wireless link button meaning you can link 2 speakers together playing at the same time while connected to bluetooth. Both speakers need to be the same
