For AC charging, it is IEC 61851 for Type 1 and Type 2 plugs and ISO 15118 is expected to be used in future

I am planning to by a Electric Bike, it natively support 1.2kW and 3.5kW charging with first party carryon charger, since bike has CCS connector, would I be able to charge it at these 4-wheeler charging stations? If so what would be fastest it can safely charge at? Fyi: Battery is 10.4kWh

Don't buy a stupid EV in the first place, they are NOT green and the planet doesn't need saving. Extreme cold kills 10 x the numbers of extreme heat. Take the USA, why are Americans moving south en-mass. If CO2 was a problem build cars that do 300mpg, like the VW XL1, or better. How many of you greenies know what the Milankovic cycle is which accounts for most climate change, maybe you fools think you can do something about that??

I do agree with term AC Charging Station but not AC Charger. There is no such thing as AC Charger. We only have Converter (AC to DC). Did open so called Wallbox, and its just a switch socket outlet been replaced with EV connector only, so it obviously AC supply point.
@GauthamRam3 ай бұрын
I agree with your observation that there is no converter. The formal term nevertheless used in AC charger

Thank you for that informative detail. It looks like as EV is at its infancy car manufacturers around the world will need to adopt some controlled standards on these different plugs. Also learned that these Dc fast charges are eventually going to degrade the power source of the battery units and I can see that any replacement or correction is going to be at a big cost to the owners.

Thank you for this informative video. Most EV batteries are currently 400V. Do you have further material that explains how the isolated dc to dc charger works. For instance a 360w panel at an open circuit voltage of 46v could be stepped up in series to deliver 400v or close to 400v during daylight DC. Or similarly a large array of panels in Parallel at 48V DC could be used. I am interested to know what sort of equipment is available in either of those scenarios. Sticking with DC to DC if a home owner has solar PV would seem most efficient, as this also negates the need for the vehicles on board ac to dc rectifier.

Thank you for a easy to follow video I see some from good English speakers and they don't make much sense in there explanations. Yours all good I must get hold of a damaged unit. I need more information on current limiting and control not the software side the hardware. A full diagram of some units will help.
