Sir I solved it by another method tell me of I'm wrong. When m1 is removed the moment before m1 and m2 were at extreme position then After removing net force along spring is m1g upward that is equal to m2x a(max.) => Aw² = m1g/m2 then A= m1g/k. Is it correct or not?

Sign convention rule tell us that distances measured along direction of propagation of incident rays are taken positive and vice versa. We are moving opposite to direction of propagation of incident rays to measure object distance from optical Centre, so distance is taken positive.

Apparent depth 3h/4 where h is height of water Now, According to the question →3h/4 = 21/2 - h →7h/4 = 21/2 →h = 21/2 × 4/7 →h = 12 Hence, the height of water = 12 cm 😅
