I managed to do what i wanted but when i export the materials and put them into unity they dont show up on avis skin? I put them under thr decal tab but the substance painter export doesnt give me a mask. Do you have any ideas on what i can do?

Yuck, made it more than halfway through the tutorial. And when doing the animation bit, my darn body moves but the clothes doesn't follow. And it gets all messed up with positionings..

Yes, I skimmed over fitting clothing to the base in this tutorial, something I didn't really think about at the time. I'll make a tutorial about it in the future, but I won't redo this tutorial as I think it still covers majority of the basics you need to know. In the meantime, look into proportional editing or sculpting for changing the shape of clothing to the base mesh. Then just use the transfer weights method I showed at @20:30 to easily wp the clothes to the base, and thats all that there should be to it.

It is a decent tutorial there are definitely parts i can use with other videos, but if we are making our 1st ever vrchat chatacter we will more than likely have downloaded NON fitted clothes, unfortunately to move beyond that point i have to now watch some other video on how to fit clothes properly

Note to anyone struggling in Unity when the piercing doesn't show up, add a Material to the model who's fbx you replaced
