What do you think about downgrading (for the sake of last points change) a riptide for a ghostkeel? AND, maybe changing all the indirect missile weapons for another thing that maybe would be more useful? Im having a bad time with em, can't damage anything. Edited: Besides, why do you sometimes reroll for fireknife skill, and THEN reroll the ones in the result roll? Is that for the stealth bs? I mean, can you reroll a dice that was already reroll'd? I have a friend who likes to run double dorn, and I kept running into resource allocation problems. If I put it into the dorn, I don't have enough for the rest, if I don't they just blow me off the board. SO! 3 Fireknife teams 1 Enforcer - Unity through devestation (missiles + cyclic + shield) 1 Coldstar - Examplar (Missiles + Cyclic + shield) 1 Coldstar - Precision of the hunter (4 bursts) TURN 2 I land 2 teams, doing sustained 2, lethals, full re-rolls, then spend a cp to guide the Unity squad into the same dorn, (or don't spend the cp and shoot something else with full re-rolls, depending on the situation) TURN 3 Precision team comes in and gets guided by unity.My coldstar has 24 shots, with leathals and sustained 2s on 5+, full re-rolls, and even into a tank, your wounding on 5+, spend a cp on trap objective and get your full re-rolls on wounds (if applies) spend a cp to guide the unity team. etc.. etc... The smirk my opponent gets right after I tell him my target for all my bursts. Then my 24 initial shots turn into 8 leathal, sustained 2's, then I reroll the other 16 dice, getting another 5 leathal sustained 2's, (everything hits because 1 gets +1 to hit, becomming 2 and the commander hits on 2's lol) So now he has 13 saves already from leathals alone, AND I'm rolling 37 wound rolls on 5+ with full rerolls if I spend my strat LOL I love love love wiping the smirk off my opponents face, OH and then I almost forgot the squad, that's just the commander so another 12 missile shots and 6 more carbines (twinlinked) with full re-rolls leathal sustained 2 Ever tried it? It feels fucking good bro LOL

What was the rules commentary that let the tigershark shoot the turn it entered? And why did that big rules commentary say it couldn’t?

My problem with Riptide is that neither of their primary weapon choices have "Heavy" keyword, which they should.

Comments for the greater good!

A few thoughts from someone who is a long time dedicated all Kroot player if you're interested: 1. Over my many games, I've found Krootox are just solidly better than Rampagers. While Rampagers do have a bit better of a melee profile, it's not by a lot and the amount of extra ranged firepower the Krootx give out should not be underestimated. The Rampagers might kill a couple GEQ at range while Krootox consistently kill 3-4 MEQ in shooting which adds up a lot over the course of the game, and that's not even counting their reactionary attacks. They both have grenades and are just as durable. They also save you on points being a little cheaper. The Rampagers used to have an advantage because Pistol/Assault let them do all kinds of actions, but that's not really a thing anymore, I'm still surprised the points between them haven't flipped... 2. I tested Nomadic Hunter for quite a while, on paper, it sounds cracked, but in practice, it's been really underwhelming. Even with the extra 3", the chances of making a profitable turn 1 charge are very small, and with your scout move, you're pretty much guaranteed to connect on turn 2 if you want to. Assault sounds great on their weapons, especially with the extra 3" move, but since Kroot don't have any ability to advance and charge, it's very rare that I find myself advancing my carnivores. If I advance the carnivore blob turn 1, it's so far up the board that you're getting charged on your next turn and that's a bad time; on the other hand, if you're not pushing the unit up that far, are you getting value from the enhancement? I've leaned more towards running the Borthrod Gland on a Flesh Shaper in a unit with the melee War Shaper, those together blend MEQ like crazy. 5+ Sustained and Lethal that you can fish for with Lone Spear re-rolls hits real hard, and that's only the War Shaper, not to mention the rest of the unit with exploding 5's, they blender infantry like crazy. (My current record with the unit is 76 successful hits.) With you running so heavy on the Tau armour, there's not much else I'd consider changing. List looks solid.

I agree single piranha should go up but multiples stay the same. I do think sentinels are too cheap and shouldn't have gone down in points as the bring then back for 2cp is so useful for them

if the kroot detachment list isnt 300 carnavores i dont want to hear it.

After looking at the points change i was thinking about changing three riptides to 3 ghostkeels in my kauyon list... which would free up points for putting in some extra cheekiness.. vespids maybe...

I'm also adding a second unit of 6 rampagers to my kroot list.

Interesting build. Makes good sense based around the LETHAL HITS. Imagine the 30. Strength 6 ap2 RR wounds from cheaper breachers which could take down the toughest armor regardless of invulvs

This may sound crazy, but T’au and 9th ed BA play very similarly. Namely the Kauyon detachment. Both are third turn armies with a couple of units who could get the benefit in turn 2.

I play tau and ive seen maybe 1 other tau player in my area before so seeing tau stuff is always cool. But if I could make a suggestion to your videos, since they are so long, it would be lovely if there were those time-stamp things just so the video doesn't seem as daunting.

@puretideprogram You mentioned somewhere something about cash prizes. I`m organizing a GT in Bergen, Norway and the inaugural is in february 25. My wish is to run cash prizes for the tournament part of the event. Until I have an appreciation of what the interest is for an inaugural like this, it`s difficult to gauge what such a prize can be, but I`m very interested in what would be considered a relevant prize. We might not get there on the first year, but I want meaningfull cash prizes as a goal. The event is called Okeanos-rising.

Can you show me where a scout move is a normal move? I don’t think my local TO rules it that way Also I don’t think an advance counts as a normal move

I lost to a triple dorn list at the Nova Open with my Ret Cad list. Its a tough matchup for sure. My broadsides could not damage a dorn to save their lives and I only had 1 unit of them. In hindsight my list just did not have enough anti tank. Only 1 sunforge unit and those dorns can overwatch pretty well.

Enjoyed this conversation. Many game-by-game reviews are wooden and all about how awesome the player is. Refreshing to see someone proud of their accomplishments yet conscious of the hard work and opportunities sized that defined their win.
