Not using knauf system is stupid. You only have 1 1/2 to join two sheets and it's weak.

Much easier to use 3/4” ac plywood with an outside corner. Then use wall angles on each side

How much is the general spacing between main ceiling and false ceiling in commercial complex, considering the spaces for lights, electrical wiring and Ac ducts and beams.

what is the bare minimum I could get away with for clearance to take tiles in and out of the grid in a basement install, I'd be willing to shunt a few edge tiles in from the middle if I had to?
@jeremypremeau6856
@jeremypremeau6856 2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the thickness of the tile. Measure the height of the grid and add the thickness of the tile to that plus maybe a quarter inch to allow enough clearance above the grid to move the tile up and over.

There is an upfront cost but it should only be a few hundred. If the ceiling is small you savings will not be much if anything. If it's larger and has vertical drops you will save quite a bit.
