For as beautiful as this video is, it doesn't do Moncove Lake justice !!! My mom was born in Gap Mills and my family has been there for many generations. As a child my family would go there for family reunions and summertime visits. I can tell you that there isn't another place that I have visited in my lifetime that means as much to me. When traveling with two doors on a trailer you have the ability to go into a rest stop and still be able to get to your bed and get to your bathroom when the slide is in you also can get your refrigerator and your sink and your table

That's not graffiti. Its history. My father, grandfather, great-grandfather and several of my dads uncles carved their names into the front of the mill starting as far back as the 1900s.

My son and I visited there a few years ago and I was amazed. You drive up about 7 or 9000 feet and there is that magical forest of Sequoias. Thanks for taking us along - God bless!

I hope you enjoyed it! I've been to Sabbaday Falls many times over the years, from way back when you could swim in the pool at the bottom (pretty darn cold water, tho). Seen kids jumping from the 'cliffs' into the little pool at the bottom of the biggest fall, though it seemed quite dangerous to us.
