Rice Fields Hike (Appalachian Trail)
Hey guys we are back at it and on the trail. In this video we hit a section of the Appalachian Trail in Giles County VA. We hike up to the Rice Fields shelter and checkout the beautiful scenery looking back into Monroe County WV off of Peters Mountain. Thanks for tagging along with us and GOD bless,.

Nice bit of snow and a slippery trail to follow. Great views over Peterstown and the snow seemed to get deeper when you got to the shelter and what a great place to stop if you got caught out in bad weather, cheers Alan

That is a really small part of the Appalachian Trail which is 2,190 miles from Georgia to Maine. They have those shelters every so many miles. The snow was a bit deeper up top. Thanks for watching Alan. I hope all is well in your neck of the woods.

Awesome! That’s a great hike. Surprised y’all hadn’t already been up there as its not too far from you. I bet the wind was roaring there. Sorry yall had a tough bout with the covid but good to see both recovered. Hope the other family members pull through as well.

Great to see you guys! I love that section of trail. Last time around I spent the night in my tent in a thunderstorm ⛈. Were the park rangers still guarding the trailhead? They were there the whole time the pipeline was being protested. Have a blessed weekend. Do you like Angelos pizza there in Princeton? It’s now on our favorites list!
