Im having issues with blade engagement. is it just a cable or a cable with a bar???
@corysgardentractors708418 күн бұрын
If its the same model as this one its electric. Make sure your belts are tight. If it still doesn't work its probably the electric clutch

I have 2 Craftsman GTs, not as clean as clean as yours. One makes a "whirr -err -err" sound at idle similar to yours. I'm wondering if my PTO bearings are old / dry. I've read some GTs have "Agura" Japanese made PTOs with replaceable bearings. Bearings are much cheaper than a new PTO clutch. Should you replace your PTO bearings, please make a video for those of us who never have. Thanks and nice tractor you have there!
@corysgardentractors7084Ай бұрын
Its normal for that noise when its at idle. Especially if the deck is running. However it could be a pulley on the deck making that noise.

How many HP is that Briggs? I heard "14" in the number, but that isn't 14 hp ?
@corysgardentractors7084Ай бұрын
5hp. They made 3 models of these tractors. a 3000 which is 3hp and smaller than this one. A 5000 which is this model. And a 8000 which is bigger and more rare

Is the kohler engine better than the briggs and Stratton?
@corysgardentractors7084Ай бұрын

Nice video and detailed history. You taught me a lot about these old tractors. Based on what you are saying, I can confirm I have a 1949 or 1950 "Standard" model 3000. They are a lot of fun to drive around the yard. Thanks

You are a rare combination, an organized hoarder. I'm impressed and jealous of your setup. I'm working on it. I'm sure theres probably some sections you hardly use that you could get rid of for that big compressor, but you just cant do it 😂

Hey man it’s a shame u can’t record all or most of your repairs and restorations u do in the shop I think or basically know your channel would explode with subscribers. I’d love love to see your repairs and restorations u do if nothing else do one good one a week. You could probably have over 30k subscribers by now. A quality channel as you’ve gotten

Thank you so much. I had plans of doing a bunch of videos this summer of repairs and restorations however life got in the way. I have upgraded computers to make better content so my plan is to make a ton of content this winter. I need to make a shop update as i have remodeled the shop. Thanks for watching

I’m a logger by trade. I’ve been around small engines for 20 plus years several locals have brought me many engines to repair from weed eater to generators. They finally convinced me to open a small engine repair out or my shop. I’ve been very impressed on how it’s coming along. Opening soon. Love the ideas you gave me

Great video. Wish people would do stuff like this with garden tractors in my state. Unfortunately there are and i just don't know about it yet. Last year i picked up a case 155 that needs put back together. This year i picked up a john deere diesel 430 been sitting for about 3 years. And just picked up what i was told was a ariens s-14g. But come to find out its a new holland s14. Im from Nebraska

Do you know where I can buy the drive belt and type of oil. Do you have a link?
Can you start it without the choke or maybe you can you start it without the throttle being at the maximum? I have one of my own and I’m just curious because it is mowing season🚜
@corysgardentractors7084 Жыл бұрын
This one always required choke to start. Some of them the choke wont work unless the throttle is all the way up

There were some blue ones with a neat little utility box on back. Factory. Dad had a used on he threw a rod driving up to the mailbox. Probably a late 80's model. Ive not been able to find pictures of our old stuff.
