I think with the issue of depression in his life to start with and added heartaches like the feud between Tom and Barry and the fact Brad was losing his voice just became more than a person could bare.

Mick Mars was a great guy, Vince Neil, in the band, or a bunch of assholes. Vince Neil can't even say anymore. At least not live. They can fucking junk up his studio with all bullshit technology, but live he sucks.

Mick Mars, my original guitar idol ever since I was 14 or 15 years old (over 35 years ago lol). He’s who made me want to learn to play guitar. Then came Ace Frehley, Randy Rhoads, Eddie Van Halen, Jimmy Page, etc. Mick Mars’ parts on Motley Crue’s songs are what make the song. Without them, Motley Crue would be just another decent backing band. Mick delivered the goods very well…perfectly for Motley Crue. And, yes, John 5 is most excellent…a great guitarist who can play Mick’s parts perfectly, and then some. I’m sure John 5 would agree about Mick’s tasteful selection of notes, and Mick’s tasteful playing!

Motley Crue would never have happened without Mick. He's the only real talent in the band.

To hate RATM even more the fact Morello pushed for a band to get into the hall of fame reiterates how his ‘anti corporate’ stance is phony. Rush is my favorite band but I will not stand by the RRHOF or Rolling Stone Magazine. Just to corporate and biased.

I’ve always thought his illness had been known and accepted by people. He’s older than the others in the band, he had had his wild years and had chose to evolve into someone of wisdom and maturity. Never have I heard a single person speak I’ll of him or say he didn’t belong until Motley Crüe started whinging like… enough said.

Mick is the Keith Richards of ‘80’s hair metal. His writing was powerful, contrite, simple, and effective. His playing has always been about the SONG…..not about being flashy. He IS Motley Crue……..period. 🤘🤘🤘

I have Mick's disease, its enough to put somebody in a corner---not participate, not meetup, miss time with people. I also play guitar and its limitations have sabatoged a few gigs/concerts. Micks a hero of mine for staying in the game, especially when the medications at the time were extrememly crude

At 54, I was right there in 83-85 in Long Beach. As a kid, the Crue is what took me from pop to what we considered heavy metal. Mars played the part of the quiet, evil one perfectly to the /media and kids. Us. We loved it. The mystique of who this guy was. And regardless of what the so called critics say, it was him, his style, his playing, his own. And it got Motley Crue to where they are. He's a legend in his own right and that can't be taken from him.

By far, the best musician in the band

Well, they can go and listen to their depressing disfunctional music. There are way to many bands in the past 30 yrs. That just play whining, sniveling, depressing songs, go and get it. Motley doesn't have many depressing songs
