Awesome trip report. I hope to see Hawaiian Airlines using their new B787-9 on international routes. This product was so good!

🥃 Great review video. Everything looked great in my opinion. I would definitely buy the whiskey on board. They should provide free Wi-Fi for multiple devices for the price of the class of service.

If given a choice do you think single seat is better than center in HA first class? Traveling with sister but if both will be watching tv or sleeping is it worth center seat or window? Is there more room in single seats? First time flying on new HA first class, thanks for your help.
@SebbyFung12 күн бұрын
Yeah, I prefer single seat - even when traveling together. The option to stare out into the clouds is worth it to me :) We usually do front/back (Mandy will pass me leftovers 😅)

Sebby, great video. Looking for a video that is how practical points system is for regular people with work and family obligations. Seems like this point system requires one to be very flexible. If not, it would be hard ro schedule around normal life events.
@SebbyFung17 күн бұрын
Booking flights with points is usually one year out, getting notifications of mass availability drops a few months ahead, or last minute. Hard to find availability in-between.

Makes sense. I'll do this when kids are out of school or when I retire 😅. Should have traveled more before kids.

For neighborhoods the Prince is in a better neighboorhood that you can walk at night relatively safely to the mall.and back to the hotel. The Ritz Carlton along Kuhio Avenue is not as safe at night and gets into the "Jungle" of Waikiki. Stay on Ala Moana Blvd and Kalakaua Avenue when walking in general, more people and visibility. Yes you could ride everwhere but walking in Honolulu is great on the main roads.
@calvinwong942218 күн бұрын
🥃 what Japanese whiskey would you suggest? Also great video!
@rs24ultra18 күн бұрын
For on the Beach experiences the Hilton and the Sheraton Hotels offer a lot in Waikiki with beach front properties. However most all rooms at the Price will see Ocean and amazing Sunsets from each room, irrespective of height and room category.
@rs24ultra18 күн бұрын
I visit the Prince Waikiki regularly and stay there a few times a year (live in Honolulu) and it is a nice place to relax and look at the Ocean while being close to everything. The rooms are great and always try to get Ocean Front rooms in the Premier category. This will put you in a higher floor room and preferably not the rooms facing directly towards the Ala Moana Center and bridge roadway (too noisy for me) as I like to open the room sliding windows and feel the nice tradewinds blowing while sleeping at night. Tradewinds are one of the best things about living in Hawaii and the Prince location typically always has nice breezes and sometimes more windy on the pool deck but just beautiful. If you are on a noiser lower floor, just close your window and turn on the cold A/C and enjoy. Great beds and room decor and the ToTo/toilet bidet is the only way To Go. Once you Go, you will Know. There are toms of eating places all in close proximity and shopping too (especially at the Ala Moana Shopping Center). You can walk or bus close by too. The breakfast buffet is great. The staff are friendly and the co.firt location and view make it a tremendous enjoyable stay.

Yeah, legit never saw an opening. Ended up biting the bullet and just use more points and dollar to book through ANA since there was a lot more availability and it didn’t require calling to book.

Flew RT with their Flying turtle (both ways with the orange girl) on business class and I can say it was underwhelming. I feel like I’ll pass their business class and just fly premium economy or first class. As you mentioned, ANA is a good option but needs a lot of improvement. Points wise it was relatively good redemption although when you buy RT the cash price goes lower compared to just flying one way. By the way should I transfer my UR points to virgin with their 40% bonus points or wait till I have another plan to fly to Japan?
@SebbyFung18 күн бұрын
Good to know! I was tempted to try booking the turtle or Star Wars flights for next time. Usually only transfer if you have plans because devaluations can happen without notice.

@@SebbyFung I know I sound ungrateful but between SEA and HND both ANA and Delta really screws over their customers with their $8000 ~ $10,000 business class. I wish we had better options like SFO. My options are, over pay for terrible business class or do a connected flight and make my trip more miserable. Clenches fist. :)

I'm surprised no one talks about the dry air on 777 flights. 787, a350, a380 have better air pressure and make a huge difference imo. Seb how do you deal with it?

Haven't noticed much of a difference. Maybe I'm too distracted filming and eating 😅
