I always thought of this as 'the pllayers song' . They lyrics are all about a guy manipulating a girl to get her into bed, promising to marry her if she forgives him cheatting with other girls in the future, hence 'If she's put together fine and she's reading my mind, I can't stop,'. Then she tells him to stop, but he doesnt so she tells him agaiin because he doesn't want to becaise 'nature's taken over his one track mind'. I'ts a song about cheaing on your girlfriend and yet its become regarded as a love song. that makes me laugh.

I was in Basic Training and Tech School when this song came out. I had just left the young lady that I really loved back in Pennsylvania. I went home for 30 days then left for a tour in Japan. This song went with me throughout the next years when she came to me in Germany and we went to Switzerland and got married. That song STILL IS ONE OF MY TOP SONGS. It still brings tears to my eyes at 76 years old, remembering those years when I fell in love with that young lady.
