I was about 8 when this came out. Just remember this playing on the radio 770 am WABC NYC. Good song thank you Cousin Brucie.

I had a classic case of misheard lyrics with this song. In the chorus I thought Lou was singing, "Hey Joe there's Fred and Barney." Turns out it was, "Angels keep crying for me."

Brought my daughter and son to Lou Christie concert, in the 1990s. I don't know what my husband thought 🤔☺️yet how else will children get to see a charismatic such as Lou. 😍

Lou can probably confirm this. I believe this is from a Scopitone video jukebox system that was in the better bars and restaurants. very rare.

And in the NYS Catskills hotels up in the Borscht Belt in the 1960's, too! I saw them when I was a grade schooler.

Lou Christie's falsetto was one if the best even. His voice got high piched as Frankie Valli with a smoothnness similar to the lead singer for the Stylistics.

You did a number of our "oldies" shows when I worked at WMJI in Cleveland in the 90's. You were always a crowd favorite.

Another song following "Lightin Strikes" which I am surprised that was not ban from the radio back in the 60s because of its very risqué lyrics which have strong sexual overtunes. I ❤❤❤Lou Christie ❤❤❤

@Irishgal777 if it was so "Dirty" it would have been banned from the AM radio stations.

As someone suggested, this could have been filmed for the "Scopitone" video-jukeboxes. Pretty women were always hired to be included, alongside the featured performer(s).
