Thanks for the great testimony. Did Remeron ( Mirtazapine) help with anxiety? Or do you take something else for anxiety? Appreciate it Jeff

I would love to see you make more videos about easy healthy meals. I have very little time and can't cook very well, so I would love to see more meal ideas like this!

Nice to watch, especially your face at 5:09 when that car drives past haha. I gave up alcohol in November 2016 and plan to remain abstinent for the rest of my life if I can because I believe if I dont, I will return to drinking as much as I used to before I quit which was not only physically damaging but left me planning my own suicide. I have had innumerable rewards given back to me by going abstinent and really grateful I dont do what you described after going in to black out anymore where you wake up and wonder what the f**k happened last night. Cheers Joe.

Firstly I was very wary about trying medication as I really wanted it to be a last resort - tried cbt therapy and phone appointments which didn’t work out for me, so I ended up getting to the point where I knew I really needed help and medication sounded like the best idea - I was put on citalopram and the only side effects I had were I felt a bit woozy for the first few days but nothing since - I definitely feel it’s made a difference so far though I’ve only been on them for just over a month. I used to get very low and upset quite often but now I feel like my emotions are under control a bit more so I can get on with things now - tbh you’ve inspired me a little bit to write down my own experiences with anxiety and stress so it will help me to focus on something and bring back my motivation I hope!

Fiona Thomas thanks :) I think the only thing I’m still concerned about is whether I’ll be able to eventually come off them or not, but I’ve been given a 6 month trial period to test them out 👍

Hi Fiona, I've been on antidepressants (fluoxetine) for about a year and a half now and at first I had pretty bad side effects with lethargy, tiredness and irritability being the main ones and I didn't feel much benefit either, until they upped my dosage after a couple of months. This is the dosage I've stayed with now and I do feel like they are vital for me to take them. I haven't missed a day of taking them and while I can't say I have no bad, depressive episodes, I still do, they do seem to make me feel better than before I was taking them. Like you, I think I'll be on them for life and I'm not too worried about that. Glad you're having a better experience with yours now as well xx

I'm a fan of podcasts and walking, I'm doing it all the time. Hooray for yoga! One that's always a constant for me as it saves my sanity, it eases out my body and reminds me that it's all working well. It's interesting to hear someone else's journey.

Hi Fi, I recognise so much of my depression from your description of your depression. Would go out to eat look at a menu with 20,30,40 options on and want something not on the menu or found I didn't feel hungry. Lived on protein shakes for about 18 months.(I don't recommend that). The list of films I've half seen is very long. I had really bad anger issues as well. Which were sorted by a great therapist and CBT.

Hi Fi, I hammered the gym for 5 yrs ,never big enough always looking to lift heavier weights and cut more fat. Always looking to run further and faster. I felt I needed to punish myself for having bi polar and the hurt I caused to other. At peace more or less with my bi polar now, 3 times a week for weights ,twice a week for cardio.

I've dealt with depression and anxiety for a long time too, but I was only officially diagnosed with depression and generalized anxiety disorder a few months ago. Getting on an antidepressant has helped a lot, but I still have bad bouts though but it's all about progress, right? One of the ways I could see myself improving, at least on the anxiety front, is (as silly as it might sound) with vlogging. I've been able to vlog, to some extent, out in public places like stores...which up until relatively recently is something I would have never even seriously considered doing. Working and such is still on the difficult list, unfortunately. And I like and enjoy writing too. There are times when I don't do any writing and ironically it makes me feel bad when that happens. Depression, always try to sneak in! Ha.
