If your doubting yourself just hurry and stop thinkin. Flop shots are all forward wrist angle. I dip in and hit it to a clock position. My success is 30 percent all the time.

When Daly won the 91 PGA Championship in Carmel, IN (just north of Indianapolis), an attendee of a round was struck by lightning and died. He was a father. Daly gave the family some of his winnings. Think it was $30,000. The purse was much smaller than today’s. Think he won less than $300,000.

@@aieahi1 that is right. The purse for the 91 PGA Championship was $230,000. A far cry from the $18.5 million dollar purse of this year’s PGA Championship. Daly did donate to the family of the attendee struck by lightning in the amount of $30,000. The man’s name was Tom Weaver. May he rest in peace.

@@johndalyfans4039 Thanks for confirming the info. There’s many reasons Daly is such a fan favorite. Forgot to add that Daly was an alternate. Think a player’s wife had a baby and he withdrew shortly before the tournament started. And Daly got the call and drove straight to the tournament. Wonderful story for Daly.

26:16 I would prefer listening to ABC's used of Barry White's "Love's Theme" music from the late 70s to mid 80s over their '96 version.

The important info is missing 😂. He was hitting 52° because it was a longer bunker shot rather than a 60°.

The ams are trying to compete with the pro's on distance with a given club. First, ams do not have the refinement of swing like a pro. Second, a lot of the pro's de-loft their clubs beyond manufacturer's specs.

With that equipment, too. Take my best driver swing and best 3 wood with late 90's equipment, and it would still be 30 yards short. A 630 is bananas.

In 1977 when i was 18 i played at Twin Oaks in PGH... 625 yard par 5... I hit a Pinnacle offset 1 Wood then use my 7 iron and stopped about 25 - 30 ft past the pin hole... And a pinnacle #1 Wood is tiny to compared to John Daly's BIG BERTA DRIVER he uses 😂

Most amateurs hit it short because they think they hit their irons further than they actually do.

Daly has an unconstitutional, illegal and completely unethical backswing that violates the rules of bith God and Man. But he won the British Open with it.

Of all the big names in Golf and you had to choose a Pro to play a round with, I can't think of a better person. He's humble, he has great feel for the game and he's also a great teacher. Many Pros struggle to explain what they are doing in a simple way but John has a gift for keeping it simple. Relax, have fun, and enjoy the feeling of a well hit shot, I think that's why we all play anyway
