I follow the tutorial for Photoshop Workflow. change it to "grayscale" will break the map in Zbrush. it will resulted in weird noises when you apply to the mesh. dont turn it to "grayscale" and its okay

IMO loose detail projecting even in xnormal. theres got to be a better way. If its a head or something simple like this id rather export the face maps from zbrush on the target mesh go to photoshop and use puppet warp to line up those xyz maps. , just save the action steps and auto repeat for each map (super quick). Unfortunately texturing in zwrap isnt necessarily an advantage. but its an option.

@TexturingXYZ Unfortunately the PS workflow doesn't work for me. I still have the problem from the beginning that Zbrush doesn't read part of the map/the negative values although I applied Levels in PS to lift up the values. Same with the Nuke workflow. Can someone help me, please?

So here is the solution: 1. Pre-process the map in PS or Nuke to offset the values. The mid value need to be changed from 0 to 0.5 2. Now comes the XNormal process to bake the map to your specific UVs of your mesh I was doing the opposite order which doesn't work because XNormal will clamp your black values. Hi guys! Nice tutorial! Anyways, im having a trouble with textures transferring; i can easily transfer the utility map, but when i try with albedo and displacement, at the end of transfer i have this Mari error "Mari would fail to transfer due to an internal error "; do you know how can i fix it?

Hello guys. I had the same problem on MARI7 with a simple diffuse channel. Now, I have conducted tests on MARI 5.04, and I transferred the diffuse and utility channels, but the displacement channel was blank.

Really good and explanation but I have a question what about SSS map or the translucency map? You can’t have SSS all around your head model the map should define which areas are more translucent like ears, mouth, or nose head and can you please make a workflow around blender? It is extremely famous now and used by most people.

I got it to sort of work, but my displacement map doesn't appear to have three channels on the exr; the displacement looks the same on all three rgb channels. Are you using vector?

For those who had doubts about the export format in Photoshop, the tip I give is to keep the mode in RGB. This way you can save the file in .EXR (32 bits) without losing quality or causing more deformations in your model.

I'm facing a problem while tried many times to run the ZWrap 2020.12.1 so I can use my Student License and this message appears "Installation failed: Setup Wizard cannot detect any installed or currently supported Zbrush version". Also, I have the latest version of Zbrush! Anyone face the same problem, if it is, How do u solve it.. Because also the file destination of zbrush is in main drive which's "C"

This is so far the smoothest multichannel displacement workflow I've seen. Beautiful. But I don't understand why you need that aimultiply node. You control midvalue with AiSubtract and height intensity with AiLayerRgba.
