Try it with 5.7 Hornady Critical Defense. I'm sure the result would be little different.
@573reviews19 сағат бұрын
It would be a little different. The Critical Defense has proven itself to be offer 25% better performance on melons than SS197SR. The SS198LF is the best melon buster I've shot with the 5.7 and offers dramatic hits Luke the civil defense. I only chose these rounds because they weigh about the same and with the 3" GX4 9mm was getting about the same velocity. The SS197SR (blue tip) is still my all around go to for the 5.7. Here's a video showing what it can really do. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3zbon-Dl5qAhc0si=1k416Byt5f-xlJ9f kzbin.infoJibYNWZ2wv8?si=dAS773wg-dCukXXK

@573reviews5 күн бұрын
Yes sir. Both rounds used were hollow points and weighed within 10gr of each other. Both are great rounds. The larger diameter along with the ultra high velocity of the civil defense looks more dramatic on melons. Here's a link to another test using a vehicle door. It gives a better view of the wound the 5.7 leaves. I was impressed. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d3zbon-Dl5qAhc0si=Fb62SRlBbVYXCsXW

I've noticed that issue with a couple mags. I would guess it's just a variance in the manufacturers process. I had a couple that wouldn't feed the first round if loaded to capacity. Thats a good point. I ended up taking the scout but found a couple flaws in the concept if used primarily for hunting. The foward mounting of the optic doesn't allow as much light transmission through the scope. I could have seen well enough to shoot 15-20 minutes earlier with the scope on the Aero. A hardcast 9mm would have much more weight. The CD 9mm weighs 50gr to this 5.7's 40gr so this is a lot more comparable than even the 115gr 9mm rounds against 5.7. Although I do believe hardcast 9mm loads make a great choice for hikers and campers that pack a 9mm into the wilderness. Thanks for watching and commenting.

The APX line is just amazingly reliable, stupidly reliable, and beyond amazing, not to mention the mentally cheap price. I wish they made them in .40 and 10mm like Glocks. Because then I would never own another Glock. My APX A0 is so much better than my G23 Gen 5 and my Sig XMacro Tacops and Rose Comp. The Glock is okay but the APX is not only higher quality/more reliable, but also feels better in my hand and has a better trigger. The Glock is a tiny bit more accurate but that’s the only thing it does better. I’m surprised, considering how bad the ergos on a Glock is to me, and the trigger is not bad or good, just meh.
