@prischew.dotcomКүн бұрын
It was a run event but the event also raised a record $388,000 for charity. Proceeds will go to the run’s two charity partners, Daughters Of Tomorrow and the Singapore Cancer Society.

@prischew.dotcom2 ай бұрын
Yes you definitely should be able to enjoy it!! Just double confirm on their Facebook page at Sunshine Beach parkrun that they’re running though. As Japan is current having a heatwave and they might possibly cancel due to that.

How long did it take you to acclimate to the cold weather coming from Singapore? Thank you and congrats
@prischew.dotcom3 ай бұрын
Hello! Thank you! I arrived on Thurs morning with the race on Sun, coming from hot and humid Singapore, the cold weather made it easier during the run itself as you’re not feeling overheating, but before the start, I was freezing. If you want to really acclimatise properly, I’d say you probably need about 2 weeks.

South Korean side here. Son said "tough game" and that says much. Singaporean side played offensive match, had some great chances, but Korea simply had better finishes, which was the result of many years of losing 5-0 in major games. Korea lost 4-1 to Brazil as recently as in the last Worldcup in which Son and the main battery all played. Losing big is the only way to improve, as it means having tried every offensive, risky move, not opting for simple defense from start to finish. We Koreans are certain Singapore is on the right track to be an Asian football powerhouse in a very near future, as it is not not afraid to experiment, it has dogged perseverance, and, importantly, it makes no excuses about defeat - the attitudes Korea started developing only after so many humiliating defeats since the 1986 Worldcup, the year from which Korea started unbroken regional qualification streak. For instance, in the 1998 Worldcup, when Korea lost 5-0 to Nederland, the first thing Korea did was to do everything to bring the Dutch coach, Guus Hiddink, the very coach that pulverized Korea, to be Korea's next coach. The result was 2002 Korea/Japan worldcup. In football as well as in life, there is no eternal enemy and every enemy can be a mentor. Great future to Singaporean football!

83km a day isn't so tough. People on competitive ultras like the Moab 240 has it much harder.

Natalie covered 1,024km over 12 days. She experienced day-time temperatures usually over 35 degrees C with relative humidity of 80-100%. As it is a road run, ground temperatures would feel more like around 40 degrees C. She had roughly 3 hours of sleep per night for two weeks.
