Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today’s video! Since filming this video, a few D Sets are already in service, however I believe the first V Set retirements will begin around early 2025. We actually don’t exactly know how long the V Sets will last, but I’m guessing it will at least 12 months before the entire fleet will be retired. So if you want to ride on them, do it before they are all gone! It will be very emotional to see these trains go when they retire. I hope a few sets can be kept and preserved for events like the Transport Heritage Expo and other special tours. If I have enough set of new clips, then I will consider making a Part 2 for this. Next video will be released on the 6th January as I will be taking a short break from uploading. Thanks for watching everyone, please subscribe and hit the like button as it helps the channel out. Click the notification bell as well so you can get notified on new videos being uploaded. Have a Happy New Year!

And Also with the D sets entering service replacing the oscars on intercity services and syndey trains wanting the oscars for suburban services then that also means doom for the K sets as well.

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today’s video! First of all, Merry Christmas to you all. I hope everyone has had a good holiday so far! I would like to clarify a few points: - At 15:45, the tracks I was trying to clarify leads to the Maintenance Facility. - Notice that not all sections of the line have overhead wiring. That’s because the trams have batteries installed. - A few light rail stops have their names changed, for example Camellia was renamed to Rosehill Gardens. I have also spotted a few errors, for example Yallamundi was renamed from Rydalmere, not Camellia. I didn’t realise my mistake until reviewing the clips. By the way, thanks for watching, please subscribe and give this video a thumbs up as it helps the channel out. Click the notification bell so you can get notified on new videos being uploaded!

Please note that I was not in Melbourne at the time, but my Mum went there and was very kind of filming and sending this video. I know that the camera angles are awkward, but I obviously can't do anything about it.

Thanks for video on the new train set. I also think lots of kids would be disappointed having to sit and travel backwards for over an hour or longer. It's like the Metro trains have no upper deck for kids who always choose upper deck seatings when they ride on the double decker set. Their eyes and smilies are just priceless when sitting on upper deck and traveling front wards. The 10 carriages for this new model are due to the length of the platforms for the major stations. They are designed for long distance services which generally have long length. The retiring fleet have longer carriages. So even they are often 8 carriages but the entire set covers the length of 10 carriages of suburban car sets. In my teen, I once rode on the wooden carriage service to and from Newcastle on my own. They had compartments like you see in Europe. Their replacements are now retiring soon. 😢 I love them very much, giving a sense of adventures sitting inside them. The modern fleets simply do not give that sentiments in me at all. I will miss these wonderful set.. Thanks again..

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today’s video! This video might be a little bit rushed, as I had to try and get this done today. After reviewing my clips, I was actually not pleased with my explanation, because I failed to finish the script! Here’s the list of pros and cons below in a simple format. Benefits: - Accessible friendly - Increased capacity on 10 car sets - Passenger Information Screens (which helps on a number of things) - Improved Safety on short platforms (only the doors on the platform will open) and also CCTV cameras inside the train. - Features tray tables, luggage and bike racks, charging and USB cables, and toilets. Downsides: - Fixed Seats, which in my opinion are not suitable for journeys for up to 3 hours, especially for passengers who are not used to sitting backwards. - Announcement Quality, they are not bad, but I do think the quality should be better to meet up with the Waratahs. - Doors closes slightly slower, it takes up to 7 seconds to close its doors compare to 4-5 seconds on most other trains. I have also spotted a few errors during my explanation, for example at 36:32, what I was trying to say were the quiet carriages, which are quieter, because it is without the motors, it is a DD car, not a D car, whoops. So that’s my opinion on the D Sets. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments! Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today’s video! This 50th Train Travel Series video is the celebration of the channel reaching 500 subscribers. So thank you for all of your support! Now I need to address a few things about this trip. I had a really bad run approaching the city and it continued all the way to Hornsby, taking the trip much longer than I anticipated. I have been forced to cut waiting times at red signals because my device has a limit to how long I can make a video for. Also please note that this trip was filmed before the new timetable came into effect on the 20th October. This means that T9 trains will no longer be performing a full loop from Hornsby to the city, then back to Hornsby and vice versa on weekdays. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoyed the trip and thanks for watching. Please subscribe, like and click the notification bell so you don’t miss out on new videos being uploaded!

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today's video! This video took me several countless hours to review, put together, edit and upload it onto the channel. It was so complex that I may have rushed it a little bit but I think this is good enough. Firstly, I wanted to have my thoughts about the closure. I was not happy with the explanation I attempted in the video itself so I'll explain it here. I think the Bankstown Line conversion is controversial because of the curved platforms on most of its stations. Even though they found a solution with mechanical gap fillers, there is still a few unanswered questions needed to be explained. - Do the platform screen doors needed to be curved so it can be aligned with the platform itself? - How will they install platform screen doors on curved platforms without messing it up? It would have been better if they reconstructed the platforms and making them straight, but understandably, it will add to the cost and will also increase the length of the shutdown. In terms of the shutdown itself, the closure may likely take more than 12 months because of upgrades to various infrastructures, testing, etc. This will not be my only video being filmed on the last day. I will uploading a trip from Sydenham to Bankstown coming this Friday. It will be very sad to see this go, as a 129 year old railway line has come to an end of an era. 😭 Anyway, that's all for the explanation. Please subscribe, click the notification bell and like this video as it helps me and the channel out. That way, you won't miss out on new videos being uploaded!

Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today's video! There is a few things I wanted to point out: Firstly, it was so difficult to get a thumbnail shot, so that was the best shot I can get, taken at 1:39. Some information worth pointing out: - First services from Tallawong started at 4:38am - First services from Sydenham started at 4:54am - Riding the entire length from Tallawong to Sydenham and back takes roughly 1 hour. - First time a new rail line has crossed Sydney Harbour (above or under), since the Sydney Harbour Bridge opened in 1932. - The new section added another 15.5 kilometres of the M1 Line. So if I like the ride, why is the opening date controversial? The reason should be straight forward. The original date (which was Sunday 4th August) was on a weekend. When the government delayed the opening date, it left people disappointed and frustrated. When they finally got the approval, they decided to do the opening day on Monday 19th August (which was a weekday), which I thought that not everyone will be able to see the new line for themselves on day 1. Had it been done on a weekend (either on Sunday 18th August, one day earlier or even push it back the following weekend), the majority of the public will be able to ride the line on opening day and won't miss out. Other than that, there is a lot of benefits about this section of the line! I hoped you enjoyed this lengthy video (and uploaded on an afternoon), please Like, Subscribe and click the notification bell so you don't miss out on new videos being uploaded!

I work at Westmead Hospital. How bad is the Station connection to the new Light Rail station. You felt it climbing the hill. Imagine pushing a wheel chair there. The other way to cross the road is equally dangerous. Pretty poor for a major hospitals of Sydney. In fact it is the largest health campus south of the equator, Nice Vlog
