Hey guys, hope you enjoyed today’s video! This video might be a little bit rushed, as I had to try and get this done today. After reviewing my clips, I was actually not pleased with my explanation, because I failed to finish the script! Here’s the list of pros and cons below in a simple format. Benefits: - Accessible friendly - Increased capacity on 10 car sets - Passenger Information Screens (which helps on a number of things) - Improved Safety on short platforms (only the doors on the platform will open) and also CCTV cameras inside the train. - Features tray tables, luggage and bike racks, charging and USB cables, and toilets. Downsides: - Fixed Seats, which in my opinion are not suitable for journeys for up to 3 hours, especially for passengers who are not used to sitting backwards. - Announcement Quality, they are not bad, but I do think the quality should be better to meet up with the Waratahs. - Doors closes slightly slower, it takes up to 7 seconds to close its doors compare to 4-5 seconds on most other trains. I have also spotted a few errors during my explanation, for example at 36:32, what I was trying to say were the quiet carriages, which are quieter, because it is without the motors, it is a DD car, not a D car, whoops. So that’s my opinion on the D Sets. What are your thoughts? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for video on the new train set. I also think lots of kids would be disappointed having to sit and travel backwards for over an hour or longer. It's like the Metro trains have no upper deck for kids who always choose upper deck seatings when they ride on the double decker set. Their eyes and smilies are just priceless when sitting on upper deck and traveling front wards. The 10 carriages for this new model are due to the length of the platforms for the major stations. They are designed for long distance services which generally have long length. The retiring fleet have longer carriages. So even they are often 8 carriages but the entire set covers the length of 10 carriages of suburban car sets. In my teen, I once rode on the wooden carriage service to and from Newcastle on my own. They had compartments like you see in Europe. Their replacements are now retiring soon. 😢 I love them very much, giving a sense of adventures sitting inside them. The modern fleets simply do not give that sentiments in me at all. I will miss these wonderful set.. Thanks again..
