This is so incredibly helpful AND this quilt newbie, old-gal, doesn't have to miter the corners! Whoo-hoo!

I know it's an old video, but how does your machine cut the ending thread for you? Does it not un-stitch if you don't go backwards??

Thank you for your clear instructions Jenny. I know this is an older video, but I’m working on my second quilt top and I need to add some borders. I’m 73 and just now learning to quilt. I really love it. I just straight line quilt right now. I’m on a tight budget so I can’t send it to a longarm. I really enjoy your videos. Wish I was closer. I would love to visit your store. I’m in Texas.❤️

Is it just a personal preference to sew the borders on with the quilt on bottom or on top..thought you needed turquoise T on top so you can see and navigate the seams on the quilt ???

Jenny, I am in my seventies and through the magic of your videos, you have taught me how to make a quilt…who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks. As I have watched your videos I feel like I’m spending time with a friend. Thank You!

What kind of thread is recommended to sew a quilt top together in rows? Machine quilting? Reg Polyester thread? Cotton? Is machine quilting thread too strong?

YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER . Let me explain: I’m a young artist who got some commissions for some patch work bags . I know how to sew perfectly and I have a sewing machine. But I kept on messing up with sewing the squares together I couldn’t have them sowed properly they looked blotchy and half asked . So I tried again , same results . I decided to look it up , now I know how to sew and which way to sew. Thank you.

If you’re doing longer rows would you still do it this way? I’m doing 12 blocks across the top and wondering if best to do row by row or start making 2x2 blocks and gradually sewing all those together I just don’t want it to come out skewed at the end

Hi Jenny, so I did my very first quilt, my squares were all done in the hoop machine embroidery but when the piecing came about I was so excited I totally forgot to make sure all my seams were going all the same way and now I have bulk, seams going all different ways. The top of the quilt looks awesome but now I would like to get it quilted and Im hoping when I take it in tomorrow they are able to help me fix it or give me advice so it can be quilted ...Love your video I am going to save it for my next quilt ...
