The thick washers on the strut tops go underneath the strut brace, not on top! I to space out the brace so it can sit flat on the strut tower without being distorted, because of the seam sealer. Looks like you worked it out maybe??? when you installed the replacement coilovers, I just didn't hear you mention anything about it

I like the HKS brand but I stick with OEM on my latest restoration. Although it does have a HKS exhaust as my OEM resonator rusted inside :(

I belive on the evo 5 the OEM airbox is actually better for the air temps but I much prefer the way this HKS looks so im taking the chance haha.

That rear AYC diff is pretty fragile, you can't launch that one. Even with stock power the AYC gears will brake. You'll see how small and light they are once you open up that diff. Chassis looking pretty good indeed.

Hi George, nice video mate, well done. Ive got an OG M2 2017, love the car, think I'll do the lowering springs as well. Did you get a wheel alignment? Also put Michelin Cup 2. Not so sure about the Falkens. Love the car mate!

thanks mate. Yeah for the price you wont be dissapointed in a set of springs 👍🏼 and yes i had a full GEO setup done striaght after, she feels mint.

I think it looks good mate. I run 15mm spacers, like you said I wouldn’t want to go any bigger than 20 even if they are hubcentric ones. Wheel choices on evos are a bloody nightmare because of the front calipers. I gave up looking at options and settled on a refurbished set of OG wheels like yours. They are getting harder and harder to find so figured it was the sensible thing to do. Don’t suppose you are thinking of selling that stock suspension at all?
@xxgamingextreamzzАй бұрын
Thanks, the way it sits now with the 20mm spacers is growing on me. Yeah I agree, I cant find many examples of a sensible wheel and tyre setup for these so I'm gonna leave it for now. and yeah sure I could sell the stock suspension if you were interested.

@ think the only wheels I liked the set up with is the Wedsport (can’t remember the model) but I only wanted 17s. Where abouts are you located?

Hi, I see that your car is on FALKEN FK520, how are these tires? Particularly, how are they around the edge, at the limit of the grip? Are they snappy when you go beyond the grip limit, or are they smooth in transition from grip to slide? Currently I've got Continental SportContact 7 for the front and SC6 for the rear of my M2 Comp, and my rear are about to go. I would like to have SC7 for my rear, but I cannot get SC7 of right size for my rear in my region, while FK520 are available. Though I am happy with SC6, which are smooth around the edge of grip, I am considering to use FK520 for the rear, as they are cheaper than SC6 or SC7. I slide my car quite a bit...rear tires go quickly. I am not a fan of Michelin's character, PSS or PS4S, which are snappy and jumpy around the edge, even though they offer good amount of grip overall.

I used the Koyorad OEM replacement which fits perfectly with the OEM fan shroud. It looks good too as it's black plastic just like the original Calsonic rad which cost about $1600 Australian dollars here. Does the mishimofo fan have two speeds?
@soccerholidays33384 ай бұрын
Beast of a machine and I think the F87 M2 Comp's design will in time be considered classic. I joined the same club back in July and bought one, also black. Was a 1 owner from new with 20k miles. Looks a similar spec to mine which also has the Harman Kardon sound system and speed limit indicator, but there are a few differences. My seats have the blue stitching and the original owner has silver powder coated the original wheels. I guess the powder coating won't be to everyone's tastes but I didn't mind either way. On the plus side the powder coating gives longer lasting protection from stone chips and it also gives it a bit of a throwback look. Original owner had also specced a rear diffuser. Not planning to track mine as I can squeeze enough fun out of the roads outside Glasgow late at night, or on longer road trips. But will enjoy following some of your track efforts.

Welcome to the family my M2 brother, throw that b in mdm and have some fun! Also, I bought one about 3 months ago, a 2020, 7k miles, clean, lbb, manual and I was loosing coolant in the auxiliary tank, check it and keep checking it every so often. If you don't see any leaks and notice your coolant disappearing it's the charge air cooler, do yourself a favor and buy an all aluminum one and you're set for the life of the car, it's very common.
