You know what’s ironic. At first it looks like Justin is more like Jerry cause both were the more responsible wizards and that Alex is more like Meghan cause both were lazy and impulsive. But Jerry in the end valued his family and the people he loved over magic whereas Meghan became so bitter and obsessed with the competition that she completely cut herself off from her family. Now we fast forward to the final season and Justin is the one becoming so obsessed with the competition, that when it appeared that he had lost, he came close to literally destroying his family bond like Meghan Whereas Alex was willing to sacrifice her chance at the wizard competition for the ones she loved like Jerry.

I still dont get why they blame Alex for losing the competition, when actually Zeke made a mistake and got kidnapped by a griffin by accident. Alex just cared about her friends. Also, the second round was a loyalty test where the griffin was supposed to kidnap Clumbs, but in that case they wouldnt have hated each other, so how they could pass this test ? So Zeke's accident was needed, but then they blame Alex for it
