In the beginning the so called "friendship" really was one sided. Andi does just about everything for jonah. From joining teams putting on shirts to buying gifts for her enemy bully and rival. Mean while jonah asked why she was wearing a protest out fit but couldn't remember the answer and declined wearing one for andi and support whats important to her. All the while expecting her to wear a team shirt for something important to him. So i can understand why andi said "were we ever" when she finally stood up fot herself and stopped letting jonah take advantage of her. A friendship is supposed to go both ways.
