Do you need to format the Micro SD before using it in the PSP Go? Which option to format with, NTFS or exFAT?

fat32. Microsoft stripped out formatting storage devices in FAT32 above a certain GB limit for no reason but you can get programs like Rufus or FAT32 Format to solve this.

PSP go is pretty awesome device and still looks modern to this day. They just were way too early with all digital but could work nowdays

Don't put the sd card on top of the battery! Over time the battery heat will corrupt the data on the sd card and render the micro sd card useless. Insted tape it with teflon tape or electrical tape to the back inner side of the case or tape the card to the motherboard.

You could just tape it to the outside of the PSP Go and maybe get a case to cover it or maybe get some duct tape in a color that matches your PSP Go so it looks nicer?

I did the update procedure as shown (old batch) but I'm using a wired controller and upon plugging in the USB the indicator lights blink for a split sec and then the controller keeps not being recognised. Using switch system settings to update the controller yields an error. Any advice or is the controller broken with the current switch firmware (v. 14.1.2)?

Are you able to do this without the speakers ? I wanna do this but dont really care for speakers and what kind of tape do i need to use ? And what was the marker for ? Flux or something?

You can do the mod easily without speakers. Don't waste the money on the amp I say just buy the right resistor for it cost is very little. And it's called Kapton tape but if you don't use the amp no need for it. And yes it was flux 😊

they do look good its just a shame those boxypixel shells are very expensive in my opinion.

They are a bit expensive but I feel for the quality and how it makes the console feel it's worth it. I have a few I 3d printed they definitely don't feel the same 😂 but that is an alternative to the metal ones

Boxy pixel sometimes does runs of random colors and I happen to get the teal one. I ordered another teal and it was more blue but I was okay with it

The foam just keeps the screen from falling backwards you don't need to use it or the full sheet. I've seen people put photos or even cards on the back of the sp.

@@mastermiketech907 oh nice ya I was thinking of putting something cool on the inside of mine like a card or sticker bomb it haha I also have been looking everywhere for the glow in the dark membranes and i can't find them sadly but I do have some Glow in the dark clear masking tape that I might put on the battery and possibly inside on a few places to make it look a little unique great video tho ill be watching one more time before I begin to build mine when my IPS screen shows up

I'm super confused..I did everything and it still presses on my back case..and mine looks a little different once its opened in the back..I cut off all the little posts but still buldges on the back case a bit

So mine was working and everything. But doesn’t read the memory card anymore. Does it last or it does after awhile? I don’t want to have to open my psp go again

I have not encountered any issues with mine. I use the psp as my main emulator console and use it quite often no issues. It could be the quality of the micro SD card that was used.

Not at all most ribbon cables designed like this can be bent with no issues and I have yet to encounter any issue with it

I am getting a modded gbc color with the same shell and backlight mod! only difference is that I requested for it to have a pokemon screen, dont even care if its plastic screen over glass screen.

mine just can't connect to my pc. I used the given wire AND one of my own. It works like a charm on switch, but when I plug it in on my pc the led instantly starts blinking. If I turn it on in advance, it doesn't work. If I turn it on in advance and hold the "+" button, still nothing. Plz help

After about 10 years of being lost, i found my copy of pokemon Emerald. I was so exited to play it, i quickly noticed my (now only) gba sp was a -001 model, and the battery was dead on the cartrodge. (My little brother apparently took my -101 model :D ) i thought this wont do... So i ordered parts (ips screen, green shell to match the game, a new battery for the unit and for the cartridge.) Basicly the identical setup you have, funny enough, i stumble upon this video after i have ordered everything. What a coincidence.

The screen shell won't close no matter what so I cut the right plastic piece above the ribbon kit to close it can someone tell me why? I have a royal blue transparent shell.
