I swear there a pack of "Klopeks" living next door, their house and yard is run down, yard looks like crap, garbage stacked by the garage and nobody ever sees them, they do leave, cars or gone but nobody sees them. The city man came out to talk to them, he asked me if I knew them. I said "No, but I call them the Klopeks because nobody sees them and there house is scary." He laughed so hard, I said "Everyone just stays away."

I saw Goldsmith about 7 times and was there for this concert, if memory serves I think he did a Q&A session too earlier in the day. A genius who I still miss. God Bless you Jerry.

Most beautiful, i was there vs Georgia Tech, the theme fits it perfectly, the horns mix very well with Notre Dames ground game and melody’s with their passing attack; with the 24 class coming in even more so, this old onescdream would that could hear the bands entire horn section sound in the final drive of a major games, life needs a mueical score to feed it and let thevteam eat !!

A lot of film aficionados during the heyday of 1970s - 1990s "popcorn flicks" regarded Jerry as a John Williams substitute, as though he were a lesser talent who could be commissioned to score a film if Williams was unavailable. That is totally misinformed & just plain WRONG! These 2 selections are a perfect case-in-point: Jerry's STAR TREK theme was often compared to Williams' main title for STAR WARS, as though he was hired with the directive to copy that style. Nope! Jerry came to the recording sessions with no "Trek theme" in mind & solely considered the beautiful & sweeping "Ilia's Theme" to be the central musical identity of ST: THE MOTION PICTURE. It wasn't until director Robert Wise realized that there's no Trek theme did Jerry compose it. John Williams was NOT director Richard Donner's first choice to score SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE, it was Jerry! Because of their previous collaboration on THE OMEN, Donner wanted Jerry, but he was unable to because he was already committed to scoring Richard Attenborough's Anthony Hopkins thriller MAGIC. So it wasn't the case of Jerry being offered the job because Williams was unavailable - it was the OPPOSITE! One wonders if his brilliant music for SUPERGIRL would have been used for the Superman theme. Either way, he knocked it out of the park!

I'm not sure why the critics rated this movie so bad, the dialogue is brilliant, they missed that fact, and paid too much attention to critiquing the story line.

Cult classics all had that treatment when first released It must have been the pompous class of critics that believed they had the best insight to movies but we're actually detached from the common people's perspective

December 15, 2020. Listening to Michael J. Lewis Christmas Around the World cd, i decided to search if I could find his recording of "All Thru the Night" of all the Christmas songs in the cd, "All Thru the Night" is my favorite. Glad to find this compilation here. It is great. Michael and I had a mutual friend. Because of her, I started pet sitting for him then he moved out of LA. Every December I listen to his cd. He is a gifted composer. Hope he is well.
