Hi Colina, Interesting reasoning about wind energy, keep us updated 😄

Hi Colina, you have chosen a beautiful region to stay. And the house seems to me to be in excellent condition and with great potential also having the garden and the warehouse. I also live in the green in a hilly area but near Lake Como. Unfortunately I do not have a house with a garden but an apartment that fortunately has two 3 square meter balconies. On one I have a vegetable garden with vegetables, herbs and edible flowers. I wish you all the best for the house and the channel. 😄

I liked this one a lot. Seems like there are important things to upgrade. I'm surprised to see a plastic container for the sewer. It's quite small. The terrace will look good too. Will you decorate it too?
@HowToLiveInUmbria2 күн бұрын
In time, I will style the terrace. Right now, it is a little too rainy so I will do more inside tasks. It's a day to day process.

Just wanted to say hi.... been following your progress and think you are doing great....I brought a beautiful place in Barga Tuscany a few years ago...lots of land ( meadow) woodland and apuan Alps very close by....I'm a different person when I'm there....at peace... smiling, happy...I would leave the UK in a heartbeat but the wife doesn't like it there...pity

@@HowToLiveInUmbria certainly agree with that....but so worth it....I'm back out there in 2 weeks to have a big clear up....need to fill up my gas bottles for the hot water and cooking but I'm not sure on where to locate a supplier (any clues)

Some but not all feramenta or brico shop will do it. If you search "gpl bombola ricarica" for your area you'll find something. Don't do it at a service station though as it is illegal. Hope you find a place.

Hi! What an interesting place! The chicken pen looks like a great place for chickens. I know from experience that it needs to be well built to keep out predators. The overhead wire will help a lot with hawks and other birds od prey. I hope all goes well for you. Janice from Arkansas USA

You are so right. When I first saw it, I wanted it all down. Now we are cleaning it and keeping the outside structure as well as making it more secure. Thank you!
@wilcarcottagewaubra3 ай бұрын
The set of boxes you weren't sure about look like nest boxes for the hens to lay eggs in. I'd suggest keeping the wire above and the partitions to the chicken area. That way you could use one or more sections for chickens. The chickens could be in one section while grass or veges grow in the other. Then you could let the chickens into the second section while the first section recuperates with grass or veges growing in it. Another section could also be used for berries so that the wild birds can't get at them.
@HowToLiveInUmbria3 ай бұрын
Thank you! That's a great idea to rotate the sections! I hope your weekend is going well.

What's the point of tying a hoodie around your waist? You don't need to wear it - it's not cold - so, it's just getting dirty for no reason.
