If you have any in your stash, can you do a yarn review on Lionbrand local grown?

I like yarn bee soft secret. It’s pretty similar to Caron simply soft which is one of my all time favorite yarns because it has the same soft to it

That kind of looks like Patons sock yarn to me but the sock yarn isn’t shiny like the cotton

Homespun works well with the Alpine stitch or extended Alpine stitch (triple crochet instead of double crochet) as well, especially for blankets. It's one of those yarns that people either love or hate. I've made beautiful blankets, cowls, and scarves with it. Looser stitches like the V stitch or even finger crocheted sc work well, too. If you go too tight, it's more like a mat or rug than a blanket. Because of its fluffy texture, you can't use intricate stitching patterns.

Great tutorial! How would I change the pattern to use thicker yarn? I have a lot of chunky yarn that I would like to use. I would like to make a hat for a 6 month old. Thank you!
@DesertBlossomCrafts21 күн бұрын
Thanks! With chunky yarn, you *might* be able to follow these rounds and get a 6 month size. Depends on your tension. You’d want to look up a hat size chart that tells you how big to make the crown/length for a 6 month old.

I've been driven demented trying to catch that wretched third loop, in the second row of this two-step pattern - and your insert-back-to-front method is BRILLIANT! Thank you so, so much. (Whether he realises it or not, my husband thanks you too - I get crabby when things I want to do are too much hassle.)

Beginner here i am chaining and turning for each new row like you say but that is increasing the width of the scarf each row i add
@DesertBlossomCraftsАй бұрын
Hmm, that shouldn’t be happening. You are probably increasing a stitch somewhere where you should be skipping. Remember on odd rounds, you should single crochet in the first stitch, but then you should SKIP the next stitch.
