Well he used to be good, but recently, not very. So, I think it would be a good idea if he retired.

I watched him all of his career. He's not very good under pressure. He's lucked out playing on some good teams. His playoff track record is spotty at best. I fully believe that the Penguins would've won more Cups had they had better goaltending in the playoffs.

I wish he would have joined Montreal at some point. That's kind of weird that every good french player from Montreal/Quebec always plays elsewhere. :(

He is the most overrated goalie in history who has no business in the hall based on skills. He got bailed out by his team or Murray for all of the cups and has wasted his teams multiple seasons throughout his career with playoff choking. Had he not played for superteams for most of his career, he would be remembered as an above average goalie but a bust 1oa, which he obviously still is. But for whatever reason people base their entire opinion on him on his nice personality, the Lidström save and the Caps game 7 (which were of course mentioned in this video lol).

I think for me the thing that’s best about Fleury is I’m not sure if any player has overcome some of the low points and managed to come back better than him.
