I had a pair of their Worx line; they were comfortable and uniform black (because contract security post) and bought them at one of their stores. Eventually the wore out after a few years and went back for another pair and the rep told me "wow, these are all worn out on the inside, they're way to big". I told him "funny, I was fitting in this store". They didn't have the model I wanted so left. Found a pair of Danner's that I beat the hell out of for five years, but really wanted something in all leather, not that hybrid leather and nylon; also post required an all leather polishable black boot. Now I'm wearing Nick's; you don't want/like the $400 boots but trust me "cry once, buy once". Not gonna lie, that "put a piece of paper down and use the app" is a nice touch, but unless I know my size in each brand and last, I'm going into the store for fitting. I like your boot rotation, have a good one man.

Did you add a clear drain line to the a/c unit or just clean out the drain hole like you said.
@rvtechpro2 күн бұрын
the drain holes on that unit are only like 1/6-1/8" in diameter they do that to limit the hot air that can possibly enter the system near the condenser coils I changed the size and adjusted and cleaned the foam wedges that help block trash and also slows down hot air intrusion the problem with the 1/16-1/8" drain holes is that they are too easily clogged with algae growth and slim

You know I’m not a mechanic I was a lineman by trade, but I understand why mechanics buy Snap-On yeah they cost a lot more but the warranty you could’ve bought a ratchet in the 70’s and if they can’t fix they’ll give you a brand new one. Another really good reason is if you take care of your tools when you retire you can sell them and get most of your money back and in some case more no other tools have that kind of resale value.

In my early years of being an electrician, all I could afford was Sears work boots. I usually got about six months out of them and my feet were sore. I finally bit the bullet and purchased a pair of Red Wing 2416s. Crazy stupid price but I went to an actual shoe store who made sure I had the right fit. My feet still thank me to this day and I can go several years between pairs. I use two during the week, I swap them every other day. When I need a new pair, I call the shoe store and if they don't have them currently in stock, they will call me when they are ready to pick up. Those become my new motorcycle boots and I rotate the former riding boots to my M-W-F boots and those become my T-T boots. I have had new soles on them occasionally so I am never without work boots. I use them year round even though they are insulated. Just my two cents. 😁

Saying that ALLDATA is more expensive is not completely accurate and really depends on your specific needs. If you need to have access to multiple vehicles all of the time then yes, TRUEFIX will cost less even though it doesn't have all of the features that ALLDATA has. But if you only need to access a single or a few vehicles for a short period of time like making a repair on a personal vehicle, then ALLDATA is far less expensive because you really only need to subscribe that vehicle for a month or 2 and for way less than $300 dollars and it gives more features.
@rvtechpro10 күн бұрын
thanks for watching the AllData product that is most similar to the true fix product is more expensive it just is. apples to apples
@thomasbonini756310 күн бұрын
@@rvtechpro Again, it depends on how you use the system. If you are running a business and require multiple vehicles and use it every day then yes, AllData DIY is way more expensive but if you would use it like I do, for my own vehicles and only when I NEED to work on them, then it is way LESS expensive. Truefix only offers a yearly subscription and covers all vehicles at $300 a year. AllData DIY offers monthly and yearly subscriptions on single vehicles for $20 a month and $60 a year. I can buy a yearly subscription for all 4 of my vehicles for $240 a year which is less than the $300 for TrueFix so like I said, depending on how you use them, AllData DIY can be MUCH CHEAPER than TrueFix because they are NOT the same thing.

Appreciate the video, I think they might be best on even smaller screws than that but I'm not sure because my experiences with the twingrips has been the same. Great design but the grip on the teeth is terrible. I usually use the snap-on talon grip pliers whenever I need pliers, the teeth are aggressive enough to get a good purchase. Even the Knipex regular pliers slip on whatever I am trying to grab, I never use their pliers. The cobras aren't the best grip to me either, but I do use the one a with round jaws a lot for grabbing anything round. They even make rubber inserts for it also if you don't want to damage whatever you're using it on, defintely would recommend 8101250SBA. I got the Mac Tools RBRT screw extractor set awhile ago but I haven't had the chance to use yet. Forgot to say congrats on your Level 3 patches! You probably know but Lippert has a bunch of free training online that count towards RVTI certification credit.

I checked the price for a CAT-branded 3/8" ratchet, part number 468-5748: 3/8" Drive Ratchet, picture shows chrome handle, and the specs are 11.5" length, does not say if it's locking. Price in my area is $232.82. Snap-on long flex head locking ratchet with comfort grip (more expensive than chrome handle) is $195, part number FHLX80B, length is 13". Seems a bit strange for CAT to price a 3/8" flex head chrome handle ratchet for way above a Snap-on ratchet.
