Most fruits and vegetables in the US are grown as F1 hybrid versions of the plant. These are genetically optimized seeds for larger yields per plant, more consistent shape, colour and more resistance to insects and diseases. The fruit from other countries is also grown that way. That’s the export busines. Those great tasting fruits and vegetables are probably from natural seeds. Same is happening within the EU. If you want good taste you buy local and in some EU countries you have to avoid supermarkets for that and go to smaller grocery stores instead. On top of that the EU regulations for “organic” are a lot more strict and organic food is pretty good, even if it is from a supermarket. And when it comes to eggs and milk I don’t really understand how US Americans can actually be okay with this.

En las tortas son las de cumpleaños, los queques tienden generalmente un agujero al medio, y las tartas son otras clases de tortas, los 3 son diferentes, y las torta de Mexico, si es pan con algo adentro eso es un sándwich, en todos lados menos en Mexico.

Aquí una mexicana. Recuerdo que el primer capítulo que vimos de 31 Minutos fue en el canal 11, y era el del Concurso del Señor Amable. Cierto día, poco tiempo después, estábamos viendo ese mismo capítulo mientras doblábamos ropa con mi mamá, y sabíamos que llegaría ESA parte (quienes lo han visto, saben lo que Tulio hace cuando está por acabar el concurso). Entonces tuvimos que hacer como que llamaban a la puerta, y muteamos la TV para que mi mamá no oyera lo que decía Tulio, porque de ser así, nunca nos dejaría volver a ver el programa. Logramos salvarnos (y a 31 Minutos) y logramos verlo durante mucho tiempo más. Es sin duda el mejor programa que ha dado la televisión latinoamericana, y un gran legado de Chile del que espero se sientan muy orgullosos. Un abrazo <3
