Lol, the ladybug one killed me 😂. The bright side of all this is that, in the end, you never ever forget it, and become much more aware of the culture and truly start to understand how it really works. Good grief that now we have ChatGPT to ask for any potential inappropriateness 😅.

As a bilingual (native Spanish, still learning English maybe forever haha) this was a really funny video to watch. Thank you for sharing these stories!

Girl I absolutely love your humor. I’m going to Spain next week for 6 months to be an au pair and I’m so scared. I already have a solid grasp on Spanish but the thing is is that I understand more than I speak because I get so scared to speak to natives. Thank you so much for making this video cause it’s very encouraging to see I’m not alone and everyone’s journey is different. I’m 21 btw

I relate a lot to you with your experiences. I moved to Canada 7 years ago and I went through (and still go through) similar situations. I am Chilean and I messed up big time many times. Being a shy person, now I can look back and I laugh at those episodes, they made me who I am. I agree with it's okay to be embarrassed. It's actually kinda good. It's good to be reminded to be humble. I don't know where I am going to end up, but for sure I will enjoy this trip called life. It's cliche but true, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger... and these things don't kill =) P.S: Your accent is unique! Mix of many lol

And referring to your "coñito" de chocolate, what can I say? just "ayudandote a sentir". This podcast, really funny. You're a natural before a camera, just try to add more content, we'll all be here for you. Go gurl, please bring us more funny moments of your life being a spanish speaker. Your english is very clear and I can totally understand everything you say with no effort. Maybe you speak with a very good pronunciation and that make everything easy for me, I don't know. Please forgive any mistake I may had made, so I think I mispelled something, but, just put the blame on me. Once again... Kudos from Valparaíso, Chile!

If something similar to the cone moment happened to you in Chile, they would probably laugh and then help you kindly, hand gestures if needed. 😂

🥺 I'd want to be fluent in English, but I get problem with all the similar Word. Or sometimes when I want to speak in English with English native speaker, i can't because I forget at all 🥺
I BET there will be many Americans who, after watching this video, will go to ice-cream stores in Spanish-speaking countries to ask for : Un co#o pequeño de chocolate 😅You know they will.

In some moments, you have a Cuban accent in your Spanish. Why is that?
@osoperezoso2608 Жыл бұрын
A lot of reasons. Here in the US, EVEN if you are of Spanish descent (me), there are so many different Spanish accents around you. So you pick everything up. From what I understand, Maddie has had similar experiences with Chileans, Spaniards from Andalucía, and everything in between.

Voy a ayudarte a mejorar tu español. You can ask any friend of yours.
