You have a microphone that comes with the unit that you’ll have to plug in and run the cable to the location you desire.

@@BuiltToDesign I think so ,not to sure if is a headlights is next of steering week (has a main beam sign then has a number) .Sorry I am new to cars, olso i qm a new driver so I am trying to figure out what is that for coz I have the same but i don't now what is for 🙈.

It just occurred to me that this model was clearly designed for the American market where our steering wheels are on the left side of the vehicle (hence why the volume knob is on the left). Maybe Pioneer should consider making a European model that flips the button order, unless this is something you guys are already used to.

Bit of a sticky one that one, I have thought about that too, but personally I wouldn’t say so? But, I would highly recommend just ringing up your insurance and just letting them know!😀

Hi buddy, thanks for great video ..I was told I will need a code for my Polo to activate the Stereo,you know anything about that?

Most original stereo that came with the car will have the code in the manual or once you unscrew it out it will be written on the label or somewhere on there if not then you need to bring it to VW and they can find it at a small charge. Remember if you take the power lead out I will disconnect from battery and needs a code to get it back on and working again in most cases. New system these days 1 in 100 never have this so you don't need to worry. Hopefully I've answered your question 👍👍👍

Goto Halfords and ask one of the workers to take a look and point you out with the perfect stereo which will fit your and wiring 👍 it's free to let them look what system you need then buy one at your budget price you can afford 👍👍👍

You will need a usb cable that comes with your iPhone, plug it into the radio and your phone and you should be able to follow the instructions on the radio screen or your phone and be able to setup CarPlay! 🙂

With the one I got, you get a little instruction booklet, But off of the top of my head,‘I remember you have to go from auto to 0 then to full headlights and back to auto and that would code it. But don’t quote me on that, should be easy to find online!😊

@@BuiltToDesignHi, i got this kinda switch in my mk4 golf, In the box there wasnt any instructions, it said it should be plug and play. Coming and leaving home doesnt work the switch and lights just start blinking and it doesnt stop if i leave the switch to auto.

Hey there! Solid video thanks for all the information! A little difficult to find information on it as it is an older radio by now. Been looking at getting this radio since I only have a 1 DIN slot available in my car, still a bit pricey, but quality seems to be there. There is one feature I was curious about though; I read online that it is not possible to adjust the screen brightness? Is this true or is there a dim option for night time driving?

hi did you manage to find this out? also I'm wondering what happens if you close the screen while driving and then quickly open it sgain before its fully closed - e.g. if you wanted to access hazard light switch to say thank you quickly

Hmm, I’m not too sure on that one, I switch the engine on and it connects as it should? Could you specify which radio model you have?
