How do aftermarket VW Auto Headlights work?

Very cool, how do you code it to do the coming/leaving home lights? What do I need to do/use when I get mine?

With the one I got, you get a little instruction booklet, But off of the top of my head,‘I remember you have to go from auto to 0 then to full headlights and back to auto and that would code it. But don’t quote me on that, should be easy to find online!😊

​@@BuiltToDesignHi, i got this kinda switch in my mk4 golf, In the box there wasnt any instructions, it said it should be plug and play. Coming and leaving home doesnt work the switch and lights just start blinking and it doesnt stop if i leave the switch to auto.

The same setup as this but coming home doesn’t work… they’ve had HID lights installed (previous owner) so maybe that’s got something to do with it

Hm maybe? You may have to use a form of software like Carista or Carly to make sure that it’s enabled on the ECU?

@@BuiltToDesign I think so ,not to sure if is a headlights is next of steering week (has a main beam sign then has a number) .Sorry I am new to cars, olso i qm a new driver so I am trying to figure out what is that for coz I have the same but i don't now what is for 🙈.

@@biancaadelina4043 that is the settingo to move your headlights up or down - bigger number means more down it is used for example when you have your trunk loaded and back of your car is really low, then your headlightt beam is too high above the ground and you can "blind" another drivers - so you turn it to higher number and headlights go down hope its clear
