My burner ignites fine on all settings. But burns for about 3 seconds and then fuel source starts to stutter causing the flame to cut out. Thoughts?

I hope this one lasts. I used the lifetime warranty on one that wouldn't light to get this one. That was the 3rd Xikar that did that but the company did stand behind their products.

No mention of what direction the dial on the valve should be rotated. Not very helpful unfortunately.

The side of my can of butane says shake and press tip, vertically downward, and the center a refill and this butane is times 24 refined it’s called honeydew and it’s supposed to be good but should I not shake it I guess..

High altitude butane is amazing. Lighters keep clean and always work. I live at 8600ft in the Andes and my 3 and 4 flame torch lighters work, and my pipe lighter with soft flame works like a charm.

I have two xikar rectangle hygrometers (no calibration button) in my humidor. I have several 72% boveda packs inside and everything has been stable for weeks. One hygrometer reads 68% and the other reads 51%. Does this mean that the 51% is most likely bad?

Don't know if anyone monitors these older videos for comment but need to ask, I have gas escaping when open and the flints sparks every time, however, it wont light, no matter how many attempts. Gas is functioning as expected, holding a separate flame to the lighter sees it ignite and stay lit exactly as expected. I've looked though the troubleshooting videos and none seem to fit this issue. Unclogging the burner does not seem to be relevant as it is clean and retains a flame when lit from another source, flame adjustment doesn't make a difference from minimum to maximum size and and the spark wire guide does not appear to be relevant to this model of lighter. Really at a loss here, could use some advice.

Everything you said is exactly what Im dealing with. Stogies on top low 60s ones on the bottom mid 50s. And my coolidoor is registering at 67. So hopefully this fan will help! I have a 69 boveda in it. Fingers crossed.

i like that you pressed the butane canister gently and not hard like most ppl, this is the proper way to do it imo

first of all for those lighters that do not have a protective cap over there fill port valve i suggest to take a fine tool in order to clean any gunk, dirt or dust etc that is visible out of the inlet tube and second to purge it out a bit slowly while inverted using the air inside in order to clean the line before attempting to fill and this removes the air too,you can also press it a bit harder to purge liquid butane that will help clean it out and make sure your butane canister fill nozzle is clean as well if not you should purge all out before using the lighter that way any unwanted stuff might get the chance to be purged out before using and this is done by purging with lighter right side up , but i would recommend not to press hard on the butane canister when filling, all you need is a gentle slow press and you can see how quickly it fills it up doing it that way and no frosting or waitting for it to come to room temp nor will there be any back sputer from lighter or canister this saves both from damage of pressing hard like everyone does for some reason, if you got a good seal no need for that

This is a piece of junk, a total waste of money. The air flow that comes out is so weak it would not move a small feather. The air flow is so poor it clearly is not suitable for any humidor. Obviously I was not expecting gail force air to come out, but I was expecting something stronger than this, but to actually be able to feel the air current coming out. WASTE OF MONEY DO NOT BUY THIS RUBBUSH.

The funny thing is that XIkar is no better or worse than ST Dupont fuel. Whenever I see a video of how to fill an ST Dupont with an adapter the comment section is embarrassing.

what about normal yellow flame lighters? does this butane also translate to longer use (because you can turn the flame adjustor down)?

Weird to me that butane would need a propellant, considering that its boiling point is right around 32F/0C, which means it should create its own pressure in temps above freezing.

Why my scorch torch does not turn off completely after using it?

Seems like a long winded way of explaining why Xicar hygrometers are not accurate. Lol. My brother (a literal nuclear engineer) did the salt test on this Xicar hygrometer without the calibrate button and it is off by 10%
