I knew from the second that scene happened that the toxic idiots out there would leap to this erroneous assumption... This is easily disputed thanks to one other episode. "Those old scientists" In which Boimler and Mariner both travel back in time and end up aboard the enterprise as it appears in Strange new worlds under the command of Captain Pike, the very same ship and crew that interacted with the Discovery and subsequently those klingons. The appearance of the discovery era klingons and one of their old ships due to the effects of a probability field doesn't mean they are a separate timeline event, T'pol isn't a separate universe character, neither is Harry Kim or Garek, all that event showed us is that there is a reality in which the klingon federation war never ended or happened at a different point, or that it just so happened they got dragged from that point in a different timeline. Discovery is still and will always be canon, if you don't like it, tough. Star trek is not just meant to appease people like you, it's for everyone to enjoy, maybe start acting like true trekkies and be respectful of the content even if you don't enjoy it, the logical thing to do would be to just not watch it and allow those that do to continue enjoying it as it would be illogical to get butthurt simply because a show exists.

That's...really absolutely not what this scene means at all. It just means that Discover era Klingons *also* exist in alternate dimensions. Humans as we know them exist in other dimensions. Vulcans as we know them exist in other dimensions. Same for Discovery era Klingons. Because Discover is canon for the prime universe too, whether you like it or not.

The point of that scene wasn't to establish DIS Klingons (in general) as being from a different universe, but rather that, in a different reality, that particular Bird of Prey (and its crew) was still of the type of BOP used 130 years earlier in the Prime reality. Same reason why the other BOP turned into an ancient sailing vessel, or why the Cerritos turned into Sovereign and Oberth classes. Those changes don't mean that the last 3 TNG films and TWOK are from a different reality.

The Cerritos transformed into known ships from the Prime (Our) universe. This definitely doesn't imply that the Klingons from Discovery are from a different universe.

Those Wrath of Khan Uniforms were awesome!! I really liked ST-TMP but I wasn't too crazy about the Uniforms and some of the interior color schemes! ST-TWOK fixed that!! Question: Why would Khan wear a medallion of the Starfleet Icon!!!

Lower Decks did a better job with character development and use of leads, secondaries and 3rd tier characters then this era of live action, and did it in half the time. It also took up the task of fixing and explaining things along the way instead of just outright ignoring or changing canon.

Unfortunately Kurtzman n Co claim that the Klingons who appeared towards the beginning of Discovery were a sub-branch of the species so technically this scene doesn't really push that out of cannon. Of course, SO MANY OTHER THINGS in ST:D DID that the whole discussion is purely moot at this point for me.
