@@aduncaroo I agree , he may well be the answer , then again he may not be, it might be a year or two before we know . But what about now ? Now is when we need productive ballplayers and there is nothing in their system right now that can make a difference on this team , although I believe Owen Cassie should get a look in the second half , he out played PCA and most of the veterans in the spring and I thought he was ahead of PCA in Iowa also . This team doesn't have any real stars and especially no superstar . They need to use some of their assets to help bring in some difference makers and maybe even that superstar and Ricketts needs to stop worrying about the luxury tax and go for the gusto , he owes it to the fans . He blew a lot of money on a no hit shortstop, and a manager we didn't need . Gold gloves are nice but productive hitters are the ones that should get the big money . Hoyer never made a play for Bryce Harper , Juan Soto Mookie Betts or any number of real star players that were available over the last couple of years , instead we've been fed this prospect BS which has amounted to zero playoffs and zero credibility . What we're left with is a bunch of streaky hitters , very little slug and a terrible lousey bullpen that has stunk up every ballpark they've been to . I don't think any farm system can fix all of this crap .

Who else would you blame other than Hoyer , he's the worst team president in the league ! And Counsell hasn't impressed anyone either . Milwaukee doesn't seem to miss him do they . Look where Hoyer's spending Ricketts money , big money on a shortstop they didn't need and now record money for a manager who hasn't made a bit of difference. They didn't need a new manager they needed MLB talent , bullpen , slugging , speed not these strikeout machines like Amaya ,Swanson and Happ. Their overrated prospects aren't going to ride in and save the Cubs , real proven MLB talent is what will . Use some of that farm system to bring some of that talent to this team . Do the Cubs have to be a small market team just because the rest of the division is ?

Good show, guys. As for a top 5, unless Kay adams was wrong, (I didn't double check.) The Bears, had the #1 defense the last 7 games last year - plus, they had the #1 defense for Int's, the entire year. Idk about top 5, but it seems more attainable than some reporters are speaking about..

Robert Spends as much time on the IL as he does in the lineup , why do you think they got rid of Bryant . The only worth on the Sox team is a couple of their pitchers . You can keep Robert , you guys are dreaming about MVP potential for the guy .

Caitlin Clark is not fitting into the culture of the WNBA. She’s the epitome of white culture in Indiana. She’s brittle. She’s not physically prepared for the pros. She’s not going to change the pro game. Curry got stronger-he came in slight and small. He got in the weight room. He got strong. Clark is not like Curry. Any comparison is lame. She’s not like Breanna Stewart either who stands with BLM. Clark is not going to make it without substantially changing her game and outlook.

This team cannot be a top 5 defense until the pass rush is improved. Last year's sack stats were poor and the area wasn't addressed in the off season. The defense looked solid last year. However, when the Bears went up against the better qbs, the other team took over late in games when they needed to.

It is more like lazy officiating when flagrant fouls are not called as it seems like the WNBA is more like park and rec ball...no blood no foul. This officiating is night and day different than the women's college game. If this physical game is what the league wants that is their choice, but I think many new fans are not wanting all this contact not being called fouls. It is becoming a cross between soccer and rugby. Jealousy and bullying are a part of it as well. I am also smart enough to know the world is changing and would never ride the Subway in NYC or walk the streets.

You'd be complaining if it was a foul shooting contest where stars that you root for were always fouling out or on the bench for long stretches because of foul trouble because of the refs overzealous whistle . You'd be complaining about how the refs are stopping the flow of the game by blowing whistles for any and every brush, and how long the game is taking . The bottom line is, fans are the phoniest , you all only have issues with officiating when your rooting interests isn't benefiting . When was the last time you complained about a bad call that favored YOUR team or player YOU rooted for ? Never is the answer .

I don’t buy the “Caitlyn Clark is a white girl in a black league getting all the attention”. Maybe in the NBA that narrative is true but the WNBA doesn’t have that many players and A lot of the top players are white. Breanna Stewart just won MVP last season and the Liberty have Ionescu and Vandersloot, Cameron Brink went 4th overall, Delle Donn an all time great. Not buying the race debate for the WNBA because the ratio of dominant black players to dominant white players is way closer than the NBA ratio is.. the players in the WNBA just jealous it’s not them making the league relevant. I can assure you if Caitlyn Clark was a black lesbian with short hair I would still watch her because no one has played like she has before, she plays closer to Steph Curry than anyone has before and Steph drew a lot of fans and viewers to watch what crazy shots and things he would do that no one else could
