This is this generations Reggie White. If you have a chance to get that you definitely look into. Get Smith and Dalman quick in free agency first then see if it works from there. But need to address oline in free agency first. Can’t go into the draft without securing 2 spots on the oline. But the best way to help your Qb is a good oline and a generational pass rusher to get off the field!

The Bears should have drafted the Washington QB. He was clearly better last year in college. Williams looked like Tribs in Accuracy, Current DAk in eluding rush (not agile), and Fields reading a D (holds onto the ball too long).

I have perfectly appropriate respect for what Patrick Mahomes has done as the leader of a dynasty in the NFL, but to compare him to Michael Jordan in the way Greeny is here is way over the top. If Mahomes were close to a statistical leader in any way other than team wins, I'd go along with it, but come on.

One thing everyone misses about keeping Eberfluss this past year. The coach they wanted (Ben Johnson) wasn't available. He was staying in Detroit for another year. If they had fired Eberfluss then, what coach would we have right now? I'm not saying Poles had all this planned out but it sure looks good now, doesn't it?

The problem is the dead cap for the Bengals. With Deshawn, they cannot afford to let him go. They would have to fire a bunch of actual players on the o-line and d-line if they were to agree to a trade.

Detroit should pay the king's ransom for him... but with all the coaching changes, I am unsure how they're going to look this year. I don't think they'll be terrible, but I also don't think they're going to have anywhere near the same production they had this season.

I really really want to like Caleb Williams really. I think his ceiling is extremely high but I also think his floor is pretty low too. He probably has the largest delta of all the QBs drafted in the last 5-10 years. I believe he's in a pretty common situation, he has to learn to play on time and not give up on the play development so quickly. It's great that he can create but he doesn't have to do it so much, it comes with a price: sacks and injuries. I think that Ben Johnson can resolve that problem for Caleb if Williams lets him.

Who cares why take a chance on myles and give up half our cap space for a 9 year when you can go younger and cheaper, and continue to build than putting all your ducks in one pond and losing out on better draft picks and most importantly the focus is offensive line which desperately needs to be addressed. What's the point in getting sacks when you can't score on the offensive side of the ball?!

Garret is an absolutely fantastic player and human being. However, it is idiotic for the Bears to entertain trading away their draft picks and cap space for one player no matter who that is. Chicago has far too many holes and is multiple players away from being a contender. I understand this conversation is good for ratings but ultimately a stupid one if you truly care about the Bears becoming a long term and sustainable franchise. STOP THIS NONSENSE

bill walsh revolutionized football. his protege was holmgren who revitalized the packers. holmgrens protege is andy reid who is going for a three pete. walsh was also the best GM ever. he found montana in round 3 and drafted jerry rice who is arguably the greatest football player ever. let’s pump the brakes on calling anyone bill walsh. he’s the greatest coach and football mind of all time.

@pjpredhomme769910 сағат бұрын
come on - lets pump the brakes on that - Bill Walsh was an assistant for Paul Brown - if there was ever an all time football strategist - it would be Paul Brown - that is not any shade on Bill Walsh - he was absolutely an innovator and one of the greatest football strategist / coaches of all time. I am a lifelong lions fan - honestly Ben Johnson is a mixed bag- certainly there are things to look at and think that he is very imaginative, and creative - but he is still pretty new -and I can point to a lot of glaring mistakes that cost the lions dearly . There is a huge difference between being a coordinator and a head coach and he is completely unproven there . Right now he is the flavor of the month - I would not put him ahead of Josh McDaniels at this point - in terms of actual accomplishments he is well behind

Okay this Jayden Daniels hyperbole is out of control. One of the best rookie seasons in history regardless of position? The best rookie QB of all time? Dude, a QB had a better rookie season just last year. It’s like everyone just disregards the past because of the shiny new toy. Daniels had great coaching, a good o-line and pretty good receivers but his stats were still just good. Not great, good. This is not to knock Jayden. He 100% had a better season than Caleb and damn I am impressed by him when I watch him play. Such a cool dude and quarterback that had a top 3 or top 5 rookie QB season at best. I feel like I’m going crazy with how crazy people are talking about him. Does anyone else think this when all they hear is this is literally the greatest thing of all time, meanwhile he sits here with similar stats to Caleb? Makes me scratch my head.

Yes because in the early 80s there were many good o-lineman coming up from college that would have stellar careers. The Hogs, Covert, to name just a few. Not now. No sure shots in the draft. Hard to say.

@Robsay01 the Bears line that Jim thinks put together was not from one year's draft it was from 4 years of drafting and picking the right people and finding the keepers
