Simpler and smaller than a threaded eyelet i use cotter pins. Put washer on each side then spread legs, cut so can fold flat & get lid on. If want waterproof coat inside with Goop Adhesive.

I've been building plug for the spring striped bass run. I built some darters and pencil poppers and did well. I liked how you used the grinder to create that lip. The plug you made is similar to a bottle darter we use in rough surf.

Nice work man. Hey random question- I just got a hustler mini Z 44” deck. I wanna drop the deck just to dink around and check things out. I wanna say my deck is a tad different and has attachment to the rear, like way below the seat. But it seems like it shouldn’t be connected other than those hangers and few bolts. Idk just asking your thoughts. Love your vids on this 🤘🏼

kinda would of wanted to see before the repair as like if it powered on, did it click or not, just to be sure on mine, and also would u think that the brushes being bad would stop a drill woth to much torque ?
@ozarkodyssey Жыл бұрын
No click, pull the trigger and nothing happens. Starts out intermittent and gets worse. Sometimes you can shake or hit the tool to get it to work. Not sure what your asking about too much torque but brushes going bad definitely make the tool weaker. Thanks for watching!

Just curious, is this barrel interchangeable with the shorter barrels that come on the revolver?
@ozarkodyssey Жыл бұрын
I don't believe the barrels are removable, at least not easily, however you can purchase the backstrap assembly for either the carbine or the standard revolver directly from the Heritage website. This would allow you to put the standard revolver grips on a long barreled carbine or, vice versa, put a stock on the shorter barreled rough rider. Thanks for watching!

Good bear. What broadhead are you using? I just bought a Wicked Ridge Raider 400 crossbow. My wife has new bear bait out. She has got 2 different bears coming in so far. I am putting another bait out tomorrow. I am going to try and wait until muzzleloader season comes in. But if i see a good one xbow hunting. I wont pass up the shot. Going to try a fixed blade broadhead this yr. A Muzzy Trocar 100gr crossbow broadhead.

This was a 125 gr. RamCat. I generally only use fixed blades and have used the RamCat 100 gr. with my compound for a long time. Haven’t got a bear with one yet but my wife will be using this same set up this year with her crossbow. Good luck out there!

OK. That explanation & video was very helpful. Ya Just gotta make 100% sure that those screws don't loosen up. IDEA,,,, What I think I'm going to try to do, is get a piece of aluminum round solid with the exact OD radius as that top strap. (turn it down perfect with my lathe) Then, I'll cut it in half lengthwise, & weld it to the bottom of that 110 scope mount. Something else I can try,,,, I also have some bridge construction epoxy,,,, the stuff that's used to make suspension bridge cables. Like 10 ton epoxy. I think I'll put a drop of that between my 1/2 round bottom piece of aluminum & the 110 base. IF that doesn't hold, I'll weld them together. WHY, doesn't WEAVER (whomever) MAKE A BASE THAT 100% FIT THE MILLIONS OF OPEN SIGHTS ROUGH RIDERS that are out there!? THANKS Again! ;>) I'll let cha know how it turns out.
@ozarkodyssey Жыл бұрын

THANKS! Very much appreciated video. There's thousands of Heritage owners out there, who want to mount red dot scopes or lasers on their .22 wheel guns! You used a Savage 110 scope base? Is that base made to fit the concave top of the Heritage rail? I was hoping that you showed how the base bottom fit that top rail.? How snug is it? Thanks again.
@ozarkodyssey Жыл бұрын
Savage 110 base worked great. It is concave and fits almost perfect. There is maybe 1/64" space on the outside edges of the base. Feels very solid like it was made for the Heritage. Thanks for watching!
@jdoboy6835 Жыл бұрын
@@ozarkodyssey Do you have an Email,, where I could contact you? Wondering if you could send me a picture of the bottom of that 110 base, as it sits on the top of your Heritage.? I'm just a tad leery, I've tried at least 6-7 bases & none of them come close to matching that recessed top of the Rough Rider .22s. lol,, wish I had a small milling machine,,,, I'd make a dozen bases that fit that top strap, perfectly! THANKS.
@ozarkodyssey Жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/qmG7anmEe8d_q8k Here is a closer look at the fit. Not exact but close enough for me especially considering that there is minimal recoil with the .22 and .22 mag. Some custom fit bases would be awesome though!
