Hi Matteo, I’m quite a few years late to this video, but excellent work as always. Your artistic footage always captures the youthful joys of RC vehicles, like we are all 12 years old again. I am thinking of buying this kit, so could I ask what ESC and servos you used, and did you stick with the standard 540 motor? I see you changed the tyres to something more grippy.

Looks amazing! How many of the spray cans do I need for 4 layers? One or two enough? They are expensive to order

I share the same story as many others here. I got mine for Christmas in 1985 or 1986. The hours of fun I had with it back in the days, driving on snow and ice, those studded tyres worked perfectly. How I would have wished to be able to shoot a video like this back then, to see from the drivers perspective. One of these days I'll resurrect mine. Need a new battery and probably a new speed controller as well.

I'm in the beginning of restoring an old vintage Super Champ. A basket case, but I got the box and instructions. So that helps a lot. I'm rounding up lots of parts I needed. Or wanted. Like a ball diff. Someone put a very strange option on it I never saw before. The rear wheel hubs are slipper clutches. Each with 2 metal disks and a fibrous disk between. Very cool. The tightness of the lug nut changes the slip. I been combing through eBay and never seen anything like it. Is eventually going to be my Super Duper Champ.
