ROC Hobby 1941 1/12 Willys Jeep - Unboxing and Review

Matteo, thank you for inviting me to your Garage again!! 😊 That is very impressive!! I saw the 1/6th Scale version, but I have no use for it. 1/12th Scale is perfect, because it is about the right size to fit on my Tamiya Semi Flatbed Trailer! 👍👍 And you are right, the details are excellent. That First Gear might be the LOWEST of any RC!! But that TINY Battery... I think if one of the Tabs under the Hoood can be snapped off, a slightly bigger Battery can fit. There appears to be room. I am very interested in this!!

This one is really piece of art: it is true to scale like plastic model kit and then some. Even undercarriage, transmission, steering links, all... And also those two small storage boxes on both sides of back seat, this is something no 1/35 scale kit has. Great review as always. ;)

As I'm sure you are aware with most rtr trucks, it's worth the time to disassemble the drive train and grease. Especially for before any longer runs. My TRX4 brand new had little to no grease. Also are you getting the trailer for the Jeep?

Yes, of course a good tip. Otherwise, I never opened my TRX-4 gearbox, and have no issues since years. 😊😊

Nice video. What size is the figure you used? would a 6-inch (1/16 scale) action figure look good or is that to small?

I think 1:16 figures are too small. Willys Jeeps are very small in real. The figure in this video is 1:12 scale (from Tamiya XR311): kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z2bFfKiEfd1qf6s

Jestli si někdo myslí, že za tuhle cenu dostane perfektní model, tak já si to nemyslím. A také jsem se o tom přesvědčil: při pozorné prohlídce jsem zjistil že můj nový Willis 1/12 má několik defektů. Nejspíš byly způsobeny nekvalitním, asi rychlým sestavováním modelu v továrně. Obrátil jsem se přímo na výrobce, který se chlubí tím, jak podporuje své modely tak, že nahradí vadné části. Nebyla to ovšem pravda, výrobce mě stroze odmítl že defektní model se dá také používat. Mám jeho písemné vyjádření. Pro mě je to je nesolidní firma a na výrobky od ní bych si dal velký pozor.

It is from ROC Hobby from China, it is a sub-brand of FMS, nothing is discrimination. I am in a very good relationship with FMS and I love Chinese stuff. 👍😊
