What do you mean it doesn't land well on that blue note? It sounds perfect if you are trying to create something that sounds creepy and will send you to Hell where you belong for sharing such evilness on the innerweb!! I sure hope you can run really really fast a'cause there's a lightenin' bolt with your name on it just waiting for the right moment!!!! 🤣 Actually, I think that blue note is part of one of those really old time scales that predate the blues. I can't remember if it's Mixolydian, Dorian, or another ian. I watched a video the other day of someone playing our modern Major scale and the M and D scales over a blues progression to demonstrate how they fit or don't fit well. It was either the M or the D that fit perfectly with blues.

@@jamesrodriquez2863 there's really no "bad" notes, but there is dissonance. I think it can be beautiful, or creepy, depending on the listener. I accept the risk to teach you all the way. Rock on dude!

The flat 5 has a history of being seen as evil by the Catholic church in 18th century. Also called the tritone, or musica diabolus. Fun right!?

Hey Elli! So, I happen to own the Spark 40 too and stumbled upon your channel while desperately searching on KZbin for a comparison between the Spark 2 and the Spark 40. And guess what? I found your video! But here's the thing, amidst all my comparisons, I discovered one more awesome difference - you don't need a separate computer to update the firmware! How cool is that? This is really cool. I dig the setup. Is that Spark Amp a 50 watt model and how long does the battery power the amp for?

It's the 40 Watt version. I've had this battery for over a month now and haven't had to charge it yet. It also has a battery level indicator so you can know how much power is left.

This wasn't intended to be a song tutorial, but rather an overview of Santana-isms. There will be full song tutorials in the future. I appreciate the critiques though. To be fair this video has given me half my subscribers and is easily my most viewed and liked video by far. It's hard to say what the majority wants from this lesson, but I'm trying to listen and learn from what you guys engage with. Thank you again.

@@pKova55 I greatly appreciate the input and support. I teach Middle school kids on the regular, and a big challenge I have is educating kids about music history. It's impossible to get a kid excited about a reference they don't know, and most kids don't know the classics. I'm hoping to reach them with these videos, and them follow up with more in depth lessons. Thank you again!

@@eliguitarlessons365 You forgot to add in your jimmy page lesson about the albums physical graffiti and Presence he uses pre-bend licks which are hard to do to make the pre bend licks get that pedal steel jimmy page effect he does using pre bends. Try to make another lesson about Jimmy Page using Pre bends

Mostly for the rhyming, but there are "tricks"/ techniques/signature moves that players have.

"Tip" can mean advice on how to do something better, or a helpful hint or piece of inside information. "Trick" can mean a method to do something better, or a deceitful or cunning action or plan. @@eliguitarlessons365 "Tips" are very different from "tricks. By definition, colloquialisms do not alter the true meaning of a word and are only applicable to to a very limited demographic from which a viewer accepts and applies a "colloquialism". . If all that was needed was the awareness of "a trick" in your videos, everyone that viewed and applied such Tricks would be a skilled and proficient player. Or instead, would I have to learn "another" trick. And " another" after that such a a magician must do. Where does it end. I contend with hard work, dedication, commitment, and hard practice. That is unless of course one's goals is to generate and promote KZbin views. Buy a dictionary friend. There are no shortcuts or tricks to being a proficient and knowledgeable player. Saying otherwise is a disservice to those that have invested the time and effort.
